  • Lovely apartment

"We spend 4 nights here, party of 3, beautiful modern apartment, 2 bedrooms, spacious bathroom, very quiet neighborhood except in the morning when school kids arrive at the school next building over. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone. The apartment is in walking distance to all activities and restaurants in town."

  • perfect stay

"The apartment has a very high design level and it is very comfortable. The position is excellent in the heart of Aix-en-Provance old town, in the pedestrian area. Also if it is very close to vibrant nightlife of Aix-en-Provance, the apartment is in a quiet street so no noise problem in the night. In case you have a car you can ask the owner for a garage that is close to the apartment. We never found a so perfectly equipped kitchen: not only pots dishes and cutlery but also everything you need to cook (oil, spices, etc) so it was very easy cooking in the apartment. There is also a double door fridge and an integrated coffe machine that makes a very good coffe. Just to be precise, it has to be said that the apartment is at second floor without a lift, and in the apartment there are three bathroom but only two toilet bowls (the bathroom in the main bedroom has no toilet bowl). But for us above aspects were not a big issue"

  • A Vacation Oasis

"This was the nicest vacation rental ever! My husband, adult son, and I stayed here for one full week. We had planned on a 4th person, but that didn't happen, so we had more space than needed, an unexpected indulgence. The apartment, in a 17th century building, was totally renovated recently, is luxurious and very spacious, with beautiful high ceilings, an oversized living room, generous sized bedrooms, en suite baths and plenty of storage. The air conditioning was much appreciated, as the weather was well above 90F the entire time of our visit. Downstairs was an elegant restaurant Jardin Mazarin, where we dined our first night. The owners and staff were most hospitable, food delicious. Once upstairs in the apartment we were never aware of the restaurant below. Everything was provided for comfort and utility, kitchen was fully equipped with more appliances than we needed, bathrooms were luxurious and toiletries were provided, all furnishings were tasteful and of high quality. Views from the large casement windows were of the 4 Dauphins fountain and a courtyard with koi pond below. Kim, our agent, was gracious and helpful. We were delayed arriving at the apartment, but she was waiting there to welcome us. In addition to finding us parking in a nearby garage, Kim was very helpful in suggesting restaurants, bakeries and local info. (Car rental tip: car rental agency tried to substitute a mid size Ford, but we insisted on the Renault we had booked. The larger car never would have navigated the narrow streets of Provence!) The location of this apartment is superb - just a 2 minute walk to the lovely Cours Mirabeau, where we strolled, dined, shopped the street market, and admired the local scenery. So many cafes and restaurants; we also enjoyed the hospitality and fine dining at Lavault and Le Patio. The many fountains of Aix are a unique attraction; unfortunately many of the stately Plane trees we remembered from years ago have not survived, but the replanting effort underway will someday recreate the atmosphere we loved. We found Aix well-situated for day trips to Gordes, Roussillon, Bonnieux, and Cassis (fantastic boat tour of the Calanques). Hope to return to this memorable city and apartment again and highly recommend both. Caveats are stairway which may not be suitable for those with limitations and some nighttime street noise in the front BR. A bientot Aix."

  • We have got to get back here!

"We received such a warm welcome from both Catherine and Myer the dog that if felt as if we were coming home. Built in 1802 as the families hunting lodge, the accommodation has been beautifully renovated and impeccably maintained. For us it was a slice of paradise. With uninterrupted views and situated in an olive grove on 4 ha of land, we felt as if we were isolated in the heart of Provence; in reality, we were a short drive from Aix-en-Provence with its amazing shops and restaurants and were given access to a free parking in the town centre. The accommodation had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and despite loving the town of Aix, we were hard pressed to leave the lovely modern pool and warm comforting sunsets. It was perfect for us as we had my parents-in-law who had their own private wing complete with bathroom and we shared another bathroom (and separate toilet) with our two children. Such a lovely time - cant wait to go back!"
