  • Paradise in Provence

"Our stay at Villa Alba was fantastic! The villa is amazing. It is impeccably clean. There is everything you need for an amazing stay in Provence. The sleeping accommodations were wonderful and very comfortable. The views were breathtaking. Our whole family enjoyed swimming in the pool after day trips to various sites and cities in the region. The grill was a bonus for Provencal dinners at home. We were warmly welcomed by Jean-Pierre. He was helpful and responsive before and throughout our visit. We received a lot of information about the region from the Brunels. We wholeheartedly recommend that you stay at Villa Alba while in Provence."

  • nice landlady, beautiful apartment, and good location

"This is a very nice apartment, very cozy, nicely decorated. every room is well lighted. the living room and the kitchen are spacious and the bedroom is good for two people. the sofa bed in the living room is good for one person, but it might be a little small for two adults. the kitchen is well equipped. there are even three kinds of spices for seasoning. you can have breakfast at the small round table in the kitchen and have dinner at the big wooden table in the living room. you can either take the bus (No. 10) to the walled old city of Avignon (the bus stop is downstairs) although it's only ten minutes' walk away. there are many little grocery shops in the neighborhood, so self-catering is easy. When we arrived, the landlady, Josselyne, was already waiting for us at the apartment and she had just finished cleaning the apartment. And she offered to take us to the train station when we were leaving. The only bad thing about the apartment is and there was mold in the washing machine. maybe she forgot to clean it. Generally I would consider renting the apartment again if I visit Avignon another time."

  • Beautifully elegant and very comfortable historic apartment in Provence

"Several companions and I had the pleasure of spending three days at this wonderful apartment. The building, located on a quiet street in Avignon, is most elegant and beautiful. The apartment is quite spacious, spread over two floors and decorated wonderfully. In fact, it seems more of a large home, a mansion, actually, rather than "just" an apartment. The kitchen and bathrooms are modern and fully stocked. We only cooked one night but the kitchen had everything we needed from Olive oil to spices to all manner of utensils. Everything was exactly as described. We especially enjoyed the gorgeous courtyard and the salon, with it's original beams and wonderful original painted ceilings. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept peacefully. The apartment was scrupulously clean and very well maintained. There is parking right outside and two blocks away in a garage, both quite convenient. We all enjoyed the aprtment immensely. Isabelle and Jean-Phillipe were delighful and very helpful with information about local sites and restaurants. And, they live right upstairs on the premises so they are right there if you need them. The location is great as it is close to the Papal Palace, a lovely square and numerous very fine restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, bakeries, pubs, supermarkets, etc. All within easy walking distance. Avignon is so beautiful that walking is a pleasure. I recommend this place wholeheartedly! Joseph Lewis New Orleans"

  • Loved Everything About This Apartment!

"Our anticipated arrival was delayed considerably by the SNCF strike, but Emmanuel waited patiently for us to finally get there late in the evening. My husband and I appreciated all his kindness as he oriented us with the apartment as well as the neighbourhood. He even had a bottle each of wine and water - both very much appreciated and quickly devoured! The apartment itself contained absolutely everything to make our stayed enjoyable . . . Lots of hot water, very comfortable mattress, even a makeup mirror to name a few. The balcony was the highlight for us and when we weren't out exploring the sites, that was where we relaxed and enjoyed the neighbourhood. The location is perfect - a little tricky to find at first, but very central and convenient to everything. If you are looking for a great meal, we can also recommend the Restaurant des Teinturies, just a short stroll away at 5 Rue des Teinturies. Thanks Emmanuel for making our stay in Avignon so very perfect!"
