  • Beautiful property with unbeatable views!

"I can't imagine a better place to stay in Provence. Stunning views of Gordes and the Luberon Valley from the house and patio, a gorgeous, comfortable house and a great swimming pool. The weather was warm while we were there, but the house stays very cool, probably because of the 3-foot-thick walls. Everything went smoothly and Karina (who met us to show us the house and give us the keys) couldn't have been nicer. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone."

  • Charming Location in a Quiet Provencal Town

"If you are looking to spend some time in authentic town in the Luberon, this is the place for you! This property was perfectly located directly in the heart of the small town of Goult, walking distance to the free parking as well as all of the local shops. The grocer, butcher and cheese shop are literally right next door, and the bakery is just down the street! One night we had dinner down the street at La Terrasse (recommended by our lovely hostess) and it was the best meal of our lives. Goult is located directly in the middle of the Luberon valley, so every town is only a 15 minute (max) drive from there. The location couldn't have been better. The apartment was spacious, clean and well equipped with whatever we needed. Regine was very accommodating, and spoke enough English for us to communicate easily enough. We would definitely recommend this apartment to friends!"

  • Nice property

"Overall, we had a good time in Gordes. The house has everything you need and is located in a quiet place. The only reason we chose this house at the time of booking is because it was mentioned that it is located within 10 min of walking distance from the center of town. I'm not sure how it is possible, but, in my opinion, it's not a walking distance. Especially, after taking into account that there are almost no sidewalks and the streets are very narrow with quite intensive traffic going both directions. The town itself is located in the mountains and the streets get very steep sometimes. It is simply dangerous to walk like that, though I've seen some people walking. And it is definitely not a 10 min walk. In regards to our stay, I would only mention a few drawbacks that were disappointing to us and if we would know them in advance, we wouldn't have rented this place. First, the owner of the property is not located nearby. He lives within 3 hours of driving distance from Gordes. There is no one to ask a question or report a problem (I don't like to call or email and bother people with little things). For example, the light blew up in the toilet room on the second floor and, since there is no window in that small space, it made it impossible to use it. After I emailed the landlord about this problem, he responded and called an electrician, who came when we weren't home. Such a small thing could've not be an issue if the owner would live nearby with his keys. Second, the description says that there is a heated pool. Well, unfortunately, we didn't have a heated pool. After our stay the owner said that it is heated only for the summer months (June-August). We stayed there in the end of May and no one said that the pool will not be heated. There is no mentioning of the specific timeframe when the pool is heated on the website. Last thing, which is not that important, but still it would be nice to know in advance about these things. There are two TV sets in the house and neither of them worked. We tried several times, but nothing worked. One very last thing, which is kind of our fault since we didn't review carefully the listing and the description. There is absolutely no view from this house. The terrace is nice, but it is absolutely enclosed and all you see is the walls. The house shares a wall with a Bed & Breakfast, which has a nice view. But this house has no view whatsoever."
