  • Magical home away from home!

"My husband and I had a truly wonderful week at the tour de beaumes! The location is perfect, just a short walk to the village center. From the moment you arrive, Eric and Jean are very warm and welcoming. They've thought of everything to make our stay relaxing, enjoyable and comfortable. They provided welcome treats and wine, suggestions for places to see and eat and yummy baked goods! The place is absolutely beautiful! The interior space is wonderfully and thoughtfully decorated, the gardens, pool and terrace are lovely, and there are a number of places to sit and enjoy the property. It was so tranquil and relaxing and the tower was so unique and memorable. We hope to come back as often as we can! The only things to note are the steep spiral staircase may not be accessible to some folks and the pool was quite chilly. Overall a 5 star and magical home away from home. Thanks again for a truly spectacular experience!!!"

  • Rose Cottage June 2016

"We enjoyed our stay at Rose Cottage for a week in June 2016. The quiet village was a wonderful base from which to explore the region by a car which we had hired in Marseille. The village itself is a lovely quiet and peaceful location and the home was very comfortable and roomy for our family of 4. Peter, the owner, and Joanna, the manager, were always very helpful during the stay and were quick to respond to any of our questions before we arrived. It is useful to know you park in the common village carpark and it is a short and easy 4 to 5 minute walk from this free and well lit gravel carpark (just off the D48) in order to walk to Rose Cottage. It is possible to drive a small car right to the Rose cottage front door along the narrow cobble stone streets to drop off luggage; but it is really not necessary as the carpark is convenient and the streets are very narrow for cars. Rose Cottage is best found on google maps currently by searching for 'La Petite Cave' which seemed to be not operating while we were there. Rose Cottage is just across the cobble stone street from the La Petite Cave as a reference for where to go to. There is a lovely spring water fountain just outside from Rose Cottage and our children (aged 6 and 11) played for hours around this as well as on the quiet cobble stone street. We hardly ever saw a car which made the place a quiet, beautiful and safe area for our children to play. We most enjoyed driving to explore nearby markets in the morning, buying olives, baguettes, cheeses and coming back to Rose cottage enjoying local rose wine / tea and coffee on the little outdoor table just outside the front door. There are also a couple of bikes in the home and I enjoyed early morning rides around the southern French countryside. If you have a car, we found that the Intermarche (368 Avenue de la Libération, 84400 Apt, France) was best for purchasing food supplies. It was a wonderful stay at Rose Cottage for our whole family and I recommend it to anyone interested in staying in this beautiful and quiet medieval French village."

  • A wonderful house in a wonderful village

"The experience of walking in to Clifford and Alice's house was as refreshing as the experience of going out of it each day to see the beautiful view and enjoy the very sweet town of Roussillon. Cliifford and Alice were very good hosts, meeting us before our stay on skyoe and providing us with detailed knowledge of what we needed to do to enjoy our stay there. There were also very responsive to any of our requests for further help and invitation. One complaint is that we could have had slightly clearer directions about where the house was since there are no numbers (it took us a while to locate it - but maybe we forgot something they told us in person). All in all - when we sum up our stay there, we say -"what a lovely house, what a lovely town to be in while also visiting the many beautiful neighboring villages close by. It was a great experience. Thanks to both Clifford and Alice. Jane Ariel"
