  • A home away from home

"We had an amazing time in Provence, all thanks to Emma and Herve's house. It's very well located and easily access. The house is very clean and well equipped, the garden is amazing with a lovely pool. We highly recommend this house to families with young children. Emma and Herve have floats, football, ruby ball, badminton, cards to name a few. At times, we just stayed in and enjoyed the sun and the pool. Thank you Emma and Herve!"

  • Exceptionally beautiful, peaceful place!

"My family and I spent two lovely weeks at Villa Manon. The villa's public areas showcase the exceptional views by opening to the large terraces that surround the spacious pool. The bedrooms are large and have modern up to date bathrooms. The kitchen is a cook's dream- fully equipped ! Our family spent many happy evenings cooking or grilling our "market finds" and then enjoying our efforts outside on the lovely terrace with mesmerizing views. Besides enjoying the pool, we had many spirited bocci ball contests on the court by the side of the home. Plus it was such a pleasure to cut a few roses and other flowers from the large gardens that surround the home. Finally, we felt the location of the villa was perfect- plenty of privacy, yet close enough to run into Goult for breakfast croissants or to dine at the town's several excellent restaurants. We also liked the fact that Goult, while charming, was not as crowded as the other close by more well-known Luberon hill towns. All in all, a perfect place to stay in the Luberon- we are definitely coming back!!"

  • Incredible

"I don't typically write reviews. This house was one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. From the moment I messaged Evelyne, everything was seamless. We were introduced to Virginie, who helps manage the rentals and took incredible care of us. Virginie walked us through the welcome book which was unbelievably detailed. Times and Locations of markets, restaurants with reviews---it was like our own personal TripAdvisor. The house was a perfect blend of historic and modern. Classic finishes with a contemporary touch. We felt like we stepped back in time, but in a familiar, story-book kind of way. Unbeknownst to us before visiting, Gordes is probably the coolest town in the region. Carved into a hillside (as most of the Luberon villages are), everyday felt like we were walking through a set of game of thrones. The restaurants were delicious. The vegetables were insane. The wine was inexpensive and fit for a king! Thank you again to Virginie and Evelyne for a great experience!"

  • Rose Cottage June 2016

"We enjoyed our stay at Rose Cottage for a week in June 2016. The quiet village was a wonderful base from which to explore the region by a car which we had hired in Marseille. The village itself is a lovely quiet and peaceful location and the home was very comfortable and roomy for our family of 4. Peter, the owner, and Joanna, the manager, were always very helpful during the stay and were quick to respond to any of our questions before we arrived. It is useful to know you park in the common village carpark and it is a short and easy 4 to 5 minute walk from this free and well lit gravel carpark (just off the D48) in order to walk to Rose Cottage. It is possible to drive a small car right to the Rose cottage front door along the narrow cobble stone streets to drop off luggage; but it is really not necessary as the carpark is convenient and the streets are very narrow for cars. Rose Cottage is best found on google maps currently by searching for 'La Petite Cave' which seemed to be not operating while we were there. Rose Cottage is just across the cobble stone street from the La Petite Cave as a reference for where to go to. There is a lovely spring water fountain just outside from Rose Cottage and our children (aged 6 and 11) played for hours around this as well as on the quiet cobble stone street. We hardly ever saw a car which made the place a quiet, beautiful and safe area for our children to play. We most enjoyed driving to explore nearby markets in the morning, buying olives, baguettes, cheeses and coming back to Rose cottage enjoying local rose wine / tea and coffee on the little outdoor table just outside the front door. There are also a couple of bikes in the home and I enjoyed early morning rides around the southern French countryside. If you have a car, we found that the Intermarche (368 Avenue de la Libération, 84400 Apt, France) was best for purchasing food supplies. It was a wonderful stay at Rose Cottage for our whole family and I recommend it to anyone interested in staying in this beautiful and quiet medieval French village."
