  • An exquisite retreat!

"My daughter and I spent a blissful week at Paolo's beautiful flat in Menèrbes. It is the perfect launching spot from which to explore Provence. The apartment is gorgeous with all the amenities one could wish for, the views stunning and the town lovely, tranquil and central to many sights. We particularly enjoyed visiting the nearby Abbaye de Senanque (arriving early when it is peaceful and the sun is illuminating the lavender), Isle sur la Sorgue ( the Sunday market, Paddling from Fontaine de Vaucluse to Isle sur la Sorgue, Eating at Le Jardin du Quai!), the drive from Mur to Venasque (stunning and so fun to drive!) and hiking the Gorges du Verdon (takes about 5 hours from Le Chalet de Maline to Point Sublime - highly recommended!). Most memorable meal was Le Mas de Tourteron in Les Imberts - very expensive but magical to have such a high end meal in that gorgeous garden setting, and was fun to track down the winery that produced the lovely wine we had the next day - an organic winery that has been in the same family for generations - Chateau La Canorgue. In summary, it was a perfect holiday - I would highly recommend it and hope to come back!"

  • A beautiful hideaway

"What a wonderful place for a couple to stay! The accommodation is really comfortable (though there is no shower as such, just a hair washing attachment to the bath, which is a pity). The gardens are just gorgeous and we found ourselves sitting in different beautiful spots at various times of the day. The property is not exactly central to Gordes but it is not very far to walk in. The views all around are dreamy and the hosts are fantastic, continually making sure that everything was alright for us and even delivering home made chocolate cake on one of the days!"

  • Wonderful week at gorgeous Provence home

"Hi Ann, We just had to tell you that we had such a wonderful time at Les Murets. Your home was so gorgeous! It is even more beautiful than the pictures. It is also so homey and comfortable. Once we settled in, we went over your suggestions for daily activities. We used it as our guide all week. It was wonderful. We went to the market in Coustellet and bought some produce. Then we headed to Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. That market was wonderful. We bought some items there and then had a really nice lunch in a little outdoor restaurant on the canal. Every day was beautiful and we did so much - went to the markets you suggested, great restaurants and shopped. We went to the Lavender Museum and the grocery stores Utile in Cavaillon and Super U in Coustellet. We loved the Gordes Market and spent hours there. We all bought clothes, tablecloths, oil paintings, gifts, etc. and ate at an adorable little restaurant near the castle, Creperie De Fan and then went to Roussillon which we loved and stopped at a Winery, Domaine de Tara on the way home. We went to Saint Remy and ate in a cute little restaurant in town, L’Aile Ou La Cui. We went to Mausole St. Paul. We spent a day in the walled city in Avignon. And we went to Fontaine de Vaucluse. That town was so lovely. Your suggestions were so helpful. We tried to explore on our own too. We spent a lot of time getting lost and driving around the roundabouts. In doing so, we came upon some beautiful scenery and places. And we met the most wonderful people. Everyone everywhere we went was so nice and friendly. We absolutely loved Provence and staying in Les Murets. We were all sorry that we didn’t have two weeks at Les Murets. We didn’t spend nearly enough time in your beautiful home. We were just settling in and getting used to everything when it was time to leave. We all hope to go back. It was one of the best vacations we ever had. Thank you Ann for your hospitality and please thank Nicholas again for everything. He was great!"

  • Stunning, peaceful getaway, great base to explore

"We spent 10 days in Monjustin with our toddler. The house is big and comfortable, with a great pool, huge garden with a boules court and lots of outdoor areas for meals. There's a big kitchen with everything you need to cook family meals. It's quiet with a breathtaking view of the mountains and valleys. We used it as a base for excursions - there are so many lovely places within a half hour ride, and some days we stayed put and were perfectly happy at the pool and in the garden. We can't wait to go back next year."
