  • Amazing villa!

"We stayed at the villa during the last week of August with my parents and my husband's parents. Susan met us at the villa and showed us around. She was very attentive and helpful and it was great that she and her husband lived nearby as it meant that she could drop by when we needed something. The villa was beautiful (better than the pictures on the website!), very clean and the kitchen had everything one would expect. Having air conditioning in each room was great as the weather was very hot. The pool was fantastic - very clean and we used it daily. The views across the mountains was spectacular - it was really special waking up to that view everyday. The villa is well located - situated on the edge of Roussillon - a small mountain village. We walked into the village most days (5-8 mins - though bear in mind it's uphill), either to get fresh bread, for coffee or in the evening for dinner. We all had a very relaxing week and everyone loved the villa. It was so comfortable - it was like a home away from home. I'm sure we will be back soon!"

  • Another fabulous holiday

"Just back from our 3rd wonderful holiday in this lovely house - more of a home than a holiday rental. It is tastefully furnished, extremely well equipped and with the summer kitchen close by the pool we were thoroughly spoilt. We really appreciated all the additional extras e.g. range of teas and coffees, toiletries in the bathroom, wine in the fridge etc. It was so nice not to have to spend the first day shopping for essentials like washing up liquid etc. The house is in the heart of Merindol, a delightful village with an interesting history, narrow streets and lovely architecture. There are several good restaurants, boulangeries and a grocery shop in the village. The pizzeria is particularly good value and the hosts are very welcoming. There are some fabulous walks on hand too, for example, up to the Luberon mountains or down to the river Durance. When you do need to go further afield, the nearby town of Mallemort has a two large supermarkets and a large street market on Fridays. And of course there is Avignon, such a beautiful city and well worth a visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house and hope to return again for a 4th time."
