  • Amazing House in a Great Location

"Twelve 60ish adults rented this house for our biannual get together. The transaction was amazingly simple and the owner was a pleasure to deal with. The house can easily accommodate 14 and there was space for everyone and everyone could have a space if they wanted to get away. The kitchen was fabulous for the nights that we ate in and the dining options in the area were superb. We ate twice in Menerbes and other nights in the surrounding towns. There was no shortage of things to do for the week -- hiking, eating, drinking, and touring the countryside. You are close to absolutely picturesque places and can get into Avignon and Aix Provence easily. If traveling to the house, I would recommend through Paris and the high-speed rail to Avignon (renting a car at the station) -- actually easier than Nice or Marseilles -- unless you want to do those cities. We had wine every night beside the pool and in mid-September it was nice to have had it heated. Final comment is you cannot go wrong but do get good directions to the house -- while it is just a short walk into town, and we did it every morning for fresh bread, the first time arriving at the house we all searched."

  • Formidable!

"We have been wellcomed and given best hints for our stay in the house and for sightseeing. The intire house is well equiped in every room, a pity was only that the big window/door in the living room could not be opened. Especially for groups with children the house is perfect."

  • We loved our stay here!

"We are not "low maintenance" travelers and have very high standards.... Menerbes One as this small home is called exceeded all our requirements. Gorgeous views, comfortable bed (oh, that duvet, heaven!), washer/dryer (took some time to figure out), reliable speedy WIFI, great shower, and you can walk to several restaurants, coffee in the morning and of course the bakery. Though the unit has a parking space, the road to it was too narrow for our rental car (Paolo warned us)... basically you need a very small hatchback. We just parked 5 mins walk away in the village parking lot... there is also street parking 2-3 minutes away. I was a little worried as the most recent review was more than a year old, but don't fear, this place is definitely a wonderful option for your stay in the Luberon. Did I mention the views?? WOW. Just stunning. I am sitting here in the living room right now typing this, looking out over the fall leaves in the valley... no words can describe."

  • We had a lovely time at this perfectly located house. Great house manager too. Grazie!

"We are Italian family and cleanliness and hygiene are something of a national obsession. This is even more so in my wife's case. We were pleasantly surprised by this French house with British owner Filippo. Of course there was the odd cobweb here and there but we realise there is nothing we can do about that - same at home in Italy. We received a very nice welcome and Corinne the local house manager showed us around patiently between our poor French and her ok English. She gave us all sorts of nice advice and local recommendations of restaurants, things to do, places to visit. One evening the fuses went because we see using lots of things at same time and Corinne told us how to reset. All the rooms were very big and nicely decorate. Unlike many houses we have stayed in it was pleasantly light on decoration and excessive furniture. This allowed us to breathe and make the place our own. The outdoor spaces were fine for us. When we were there there were some baby birds nesting in the courtyard which was fun for our young children. Talking of the kids (1.5 and 5) there were lots of games for them and the house was suitable and well prepared for them. I liked the fact that the ground floor was quite spacious for the kids to run around in. Of course it would be nice to have a big garden but we preferred to be in the Centro Storico of such a lovely village. The top terrace had some pine needles in it when we arrived but it had been windy all day so this was normal. What more can o say? We liked this house and hope to return for our next feragosto. . Grazie Filippo e Corinne."
