  • Beautiful home in a peaceful ancient village

"Our family, including 2- 11 year olds, had a wonderful time in this charming, beautifully decorated and well-located house. The setting on the side of the hill offers a lovely view over the countryside from the terrace. We had stayed in the house 13 years before and were happy to see that little has changed in either the house or the ancient village with its warren of narrow stone passageways and walls spilling over with bougainvillea, wisteria, jasmine and oleanders. Both the owner and caretaker were very helpful and anxious to do everything possible to enhance our stay. It was wonderful to spend the days sightseeing in nearby towns such as Roussillon, Lourmarin, Saignon, Fontaine du Vaucluse and Aix-en-Provence. We even went as far as Cassis on the coast where the kids hiked and swam in the Calanques. Returning home hot and dusty in the late afternoon, we looked forward to a swim, a glass of wine and a relaxing dinner of local specialties on the beautiful terrace in the cool of evening. Even though I would like to keep this place a secret, I can't recommend it highly enough."

  • An exquisite retreat!

"My daughter and I spent a blissful week at Paolo's beautiful flat in Menèrbes. It is the perfect launching spot from which to explore Provence. The apartment is gorgeous with all the amenities one could wish for, the views stunning and the town lovely, tranquil and central to many sights. We particularly enjoyed visiting the nearby Abbaye de Senanque (arriving early when it is peaceful and the sun is illuminating the lavender), Isle sur la Sorgue ( the Sunday market, Paddling from Fontaine de Vaucluse to Isle sur la Sorgue, Eating at Le Jardin du Quai!), the drive from Mur to Venasque (stunning and so fun to drive!) and hiking the Gorges du Verdon (takes about 5 hours from Le Chalet de Maline to Point Sublime - highly recommended!). Most memorable meal was Le Mas de Tourteron in Les Imberts - very expensive but magical to have such a high end meal in that gorgeous garden setting, and was fun to track down the winery that produced the lovely wine we had the next day - an organic winery that has been in the same family for generations - Chateau La Canorgue. In summary, it was a perfect holiday - I would highly recommend it and hope to come back!"
