  • Once again, Chez Ellen delivers!

"Loved the house and village so much we came back a year later. Everything was as awesome as we remembered. This time we spent a bit more time at the house, even cooking once or twice, and loved it. Eating (or spending any time really) on the balcony is a treat for the soul. Lots of day trips to the beautiful countryside made the experiences even better. Just like we said last year, "All in all, it was an amazing experience, and we are VERY looking forward to going back one day.""

  • Formidable!

"We have been wellcomed and given best hints for our stay in the house and for sightseeing. The intire house is well equiped in every room, a pity was only that the big window/door in the living room could not be opened. Especially for groups with children the house is perfect."

  • Absolutely perfect!

"We stayed here for a week in August (2 adults and 3 kids). First thing to note is that Moira is incredibly helpful beforehand, offering restaurant suggestions as well as advice about neighboring towns. We arrived mid-afternoon and met the local caretaker Francis who was also very helpful, showing us what was where and giving us some tips for a smooth stay. The house is in a great location - a couple of miles outside a little town you've never heard of - but close to lots of fun places to go. We visited Avignon, Cassis, Aix en Provence, St. Remy and numerous others. We visited local markets, went on a boat ride in Cassis, had a tour of Aix, did a baking class in St. Remy, went kayaking on a local river, the list goes on. When you're not exploring, the house is perfect. 4 bedrooms provide plenty of space to spread out and not get under each others' feet. The pool is a great place to relax and watch the sunset over a glass (or bottle) of local wine. We slept soundly every night, making sure we'd closed the gate to keep the wild boars out! Sadly we only stayed there for a week. We could easily have stayed another week or three. The house comes with everything you'll need - wifi, outdoor dining area, charcoal grill, laundry facilities, well-stocked kitchen with 2 coffee makers (hey, that's the important stuff in our house), etc. If we come back to Provence we'll definitely look to stay here again. 10 stars!"
