  • French Countryside Bliss

"I have used VRBO/HomeAway several times, from quick getaways to length stays, parties large and small. Never have I received better service than with David and few homes have surpassed the comfort, quality and convenience of this cozy Provençal abode. From the inside out, the home boasts repose and charm, with walls adorning vintage décor including several antique armoires, a grandfather clock and cushy formal living room furniture, along with all the means of a home-away-from-home. The kitchen was small but completely functional and accessible, with a large fridge close by. The master suite upstairs was wonderful, with an adjoining en suite restroom comprised of wide counters, a full-length mirror and a surprisingly spacious shower, plus additional closet space. The master is equipped with a (real!) king bed and large armoire. A second bedroom is located on the main floor with a second half-bath (full restroom with shower) next door and an additional toilet-only restroom next to that. The best part was the sunroom, featuring floor-to-ceiling window-doors that could open up fully to the huge and private front-of-the-house patio. This is the main entry, with plenty of locked doors to feel safe at night – although, who would be worried in this adorable town? – and also connects the entire house to this open, expansive atmosphere. Location was perfect – just set enough outside of the main corridor to be quiet and required a five minute stroll in if you did want the noise. St. Remy is amazing. Whatever your desires, you can find them in this dreamy, picturesque French country village. Restaurants are spectacular, shopping is lovely and the Wednesday farmers market should not be missed! Not to mention the Roman ruins, history and overall stunning sights of the region. I couldn’t recommend this house more as a St. Remy residence or hub for touring Provence. Thank you, David!"

  • Perfect Retreat

"We stayed in the Cigales villa which is a spacious home that in addition to 4+ bedrooms, offers a very spacious kitchen, dining room and living room areas with beautiful furnishings. The location also has a great outdoor patio with covered barbeque and overhead trellis of Wisteria. We cooked at home multiple evenings and enjoyed having such a beautiful and peaceful place to return to each day after site-seeing. The location of these accommodations is very convenient to the other sites in Provence. Also, our hosts were very welcoming and helpful and we enjoyed playing with a resident young boxer puppy (Gucci) who made the accommodations seem even more like home,"

  • Wonderful apartment and great location

"My husband and I spent 9 nights in St Remy at this delightful townhouse. I can heartily endorse the comments of the 2 previous reviewers. The apartment was spacious, modern and spotless, very well equipped with high quality appliances and furnishings, and the availability of a private car park in a secure gated community was fantastic. The grounds were simply beautiful with lavender just beginning to flower and we thoroughly enjoyed returning each day from our travels to this comfortable and refreshing environment. Julie, the manager was very helpful and available to answer our queries, and the information provided in her booklet was great. St Remy itself is a lovely town and the apartment was a very good base for day trips to surrounding areas; the walk into town only a few short minutes. Our stay here was extremely enjoyable and I would not hesitate to recommend it - we would be very happy to return!"

  • Great location in the middle of St. Remy

"Charming 3 story row house just next to the Hotel de Sade in St. Remy. Fabulous location in the center of the old city. Everything is walking distance: great restaurants, grocery store, bakeries, shops. Perfect for Wednesday market!,This was a great spot for 5 days of exploration of Provence and the Luberon. The owner is very responsive to questions before and during the stay. The bedroom is extremely comfortable with beautiful natural light. Facilities of a well equipped kitchen allowed us to cook twice and enjoy our breakfast each morning. The only reasons I cannot rate 5 stars: bathroom is quite small and on a different floor from the bedroom. Bring a small flashlight/ torch for midnight visits to get down the stairs. Also, while two parking spots for the house are advertised to be available, there is a neighbor who always parked right in front of our door. The adjoining space is marked as handicap, and a third space is barely large enough for a smart car to fit! We were challenged to park, every day when we returned from our day trips. Other than that, this is a great place to stay."
