  • Absolutely lovely holiday home!

"Our whole family of four had an absolutely lovely and extremely comfortable stay at this holiday home this summer. The house was well equipped, absolutely beautiful, (even nicer than appears in the photos), very private and had a lovely garden and swimming pool. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable, which is hard to find in a holiday rental! The hosts were just wonderful and very welcoming and attended to all our needs, even giving us their own asthma inhaler when we needed it for our daughter. In terms of location, you could not fault this spot as it is only 5 minutes to St.Remy de Provence and close by car to many other beautiful villages, Beaux, Gord, Roussillon, Isles sur le Sorgue and many many others and is a great location from which to explore Provence. We will definitely visit again. Most highly recommended."

  • Great stay in this townhouse in St. Remy

"We stayed five nights at this charming multi-level home in the heart of St. Remy. What I appreciated is that the house was as described in the listing -- no surprises, which is always a huge plus! Plenty of room for this family of four with two teenagers wanting a bit of space to themselves. Be prepared for some steps -- as this is a multi-level home. It didn't bother us, but if you had any mobility issues, it might be an issue. Nice large kitchen, sunny terrace, a gathering spot to chat all together at the end of the day and two nicely equipped bathrooms made for a pleasant stay. Also, there is a first-floor washing machine which helps for longer stays. We would happily stay here again as the location was outstanding. Helen, the housekeeper also ensured we knew where to park our rental car as there is no parking available on the street where the home is. That also was a nice touch. We visited in late March/early April and it was still chilly, but there were multiple portable heaters to take any chill out of the areas. Be sure to visit the Wednesday market in the heart of the village. Happy to answer any questions -- we enjoyed our stay thoroughly."

  • A great base from which to explore La Provence.

"Sophie Cayzac's vacation apartment provides an ideal, affordable location from which to explore Arles, Avignon, and the many sights of the Provence. While its location in the village of Paradou contains just one (expensive) restaurant, it is close to St. Remy, Mausanne and other small towns with many restaurants and eateries offering that fine Provencal cuisine. We took advantage of the apartment's kitchen to prepare a number of meals, especially breakfast and dinner. A small but surprisingly well-stocked (including with local wine!) grocery store, a bakery (with delicious specialty items and those fine French baguettes) and a butcher shop (with a most pleasant proprietor greeting all customers in a sing-song voice) are just around the corner. We found all locals to be friendly and welcoming of English-speakers; in fact, many speak at least some English themselves. If we had questions, Sophie enthusiastically provided plenty of answers, especially regarding where to go and what to do. During our stay in mid-September, 2016, we followed her advice for touring the Luberon and Camargue areas and were glad we did. Sophie's apartment consists of a roomy living room and kitchen, a bedroom with large double bed and a bathroom with shower. It contained plenty of glassware, dishes and silverware, a full-size refrigerator, a four-burner cooktop, a dishwasher, a sink and all we needed to make coffee and tea. We were almost sorry that it was too warm to light a fire in that enormous stone fireplace."

  • Fantastic house for large family

"We had a very nice week in this wonderful house, celebrating our 70th birthdays. We were a 3 generation family, 6 adoults and 5 children( 6-18) and the house was just perfect for us. We never felt crowded. A lot of nice meals were prepared in the Kitchen which had everything a cook needed. As it was very hot in July we spent a lot of time by the pool. The children loved it.We took small tours in the wineyards and neighbourhood on our bikes, but it was too hot for more!! St Remy is simply a gem we loved strolling around in the streets. In the house were the bathrooms provided with savon liquide etc.and fortunately we found a shop in St Remy, where we could buy this soap and bring the smell back to our home and think of Les Oliviers when using it. We would like to to come back but next time in September. Carine was a perfect accomodating housekeeper. Thanks to you, Dominique, for lettings us rent your wonderful house."
