  • Amazing, spacious apartment with lots of character

"This was an amazing apartment to stay in. It was clean and spacious. The location was great, a block and a half from the famous cafe, Les Deux Magots in one direction, and a block and a half from the Seine in the other. And just across the Seine was the Louvre. The kitchen was modern with everything you need. We were able to eat in many nights, which is a great way to save money on food so we had more for shopping! Of course, we had fresh croissants and a baguette every morning, from Josephine's Boulangerie, just around the corner (right out the front door, right at the corner, closed weekends). Monoprix, a large grocery store, was just two blocks away, so it was easy to stock up on anything we needed. The bathroom was clean and modern, a very nice feature. Other than the updated kitchen and bathroom, the apartment felt like old Paris, which was great. Big windows opened to the street in the living room and bedroom. You could open the window in the kitchen and get a wonderful breeze, just remember to keep the doors from slamming shut in the breeze. The bed in the living room is a full-size queen bed tucked under a built-in bookcase. By day it was a couch, but at night you could pull it out and get a proper bed and not a uncomfortable convertible couch. This was a real plus. The antique furniture and architectural detail gave this apartment tons of character. I've stayed in places that looked like they came from Ikea. Not this place, not at all. You can tell that this is a place someone really cares about. And we did, too."

  • Beyond expectations

"This apartment is exquisitely designed and appointed with exceptional attention to detail and maintenance.. Ideal for couples - secure, ground floor location. Moreover, the hospitality and service of Chris (owner) is five star. We unreservedly recommend it to all who seek the best self contained accommodation in Paris. • We loved this place!

"The terrace is wonderful--we spent our evenings relaxing there. The rest of the apartment is comfortable, attractive, and well equipped, and the A/C in the bedrooms is a nice relief on a hot day. The location is perfect, on a quiet street literally just yards from the Cours Mirabeau, the old city, and a great little street filled with handy stores and restaurants. Kim was friendly, efficient, and helpful. The only downside is that the apartment is reached by 3 tall flights of stairs. Perfectly doable and utterly worth the bit of effort for us (two middle-aged parents and two teenagers), but if you have trouble climbing stairs you might want to think twice."
