  • Excellent location, close to everyting! And a very welcoming & helpful owner

"Our stay in Athens was wonderful. From first contact, Stella was been wonderful. She went out of her way to ensure our stay was enjoyable & relaxing. Even offering to arrange airport pickup on arrival and drop-off upon departure, which made it so easy. It made our stay entirely stress free. The owner had a problem with plumbing in the apartment before we arrived, so she arranged a different apartment for us to stay in and gave us the option of staying in that apartment when the plumbing was fixed. The accommodation was the cleanest I have seen, the whole place was immaculate, comfortable, tastefully decorated and well lit. The bathroom and kitchen were simple, but adequate and sooo clean! We found it was within easy walking distance of all the Athens ancient/ archeological sites we wanted to visit and it was also close to shops. In the Plaka area, there were so, so many local restaurants, upmarket, traditional taverns and takeaway places to eat ... with a 3 minute walk to our favorite Souvlaki/ Kebab shop and a few more minutes to the Baklava shop! There is also a nearby street that we named Kebab heaven, as it was lined on both sides with wonderful indoor/outdoor areas to try delicious, generous and inexpensive range of menu choices. The restaurant staff were all very warm and friendly, and we did not experience arrogant waiters at all, like we experienced multiple times in another country across the sea that we also visited! I was traveling with 3 teenage girls, and they had a wonderful time too! lots for them to do in the Plaka area, with a range of different shops for clothing, jewellery, souvenirs, buying gifts for their friends and tasting the local cuisine. There is even a major Athens regular (non-tourist) shopping mall/ area is just a short walk with all the favorite brands and more. The best thing was that it felt safe to walk around day or night, so we could go out to dinner and return after dark (it was winter). Like Stella, we found the people in the Plaka area were very warm and friendly, and on our last day we were returning to our apartment with a new cabin bag purchased in Athens, and one of the locals even asked us if we were leaving soon & wished us well. I would love to spend more time in Greece and would definitely stay in Stella's apartments again! It was a really nice finish to a long holiday in Europe. Thank you Stella!"

  • Breathtaking views and amazing location

"This apartment had everything to make you feel at home. Hosts were very helpful in setting up ground transfers and personal tour guides which made our visit so much better. The location in walking distance from the acropolis and a bustling pubic square made you feel in the middle of all the action. Short walk to shopping and other attractions. Highly recommend this apartment for your visit to Athens!"

  • Expertly furnished, top of the line apartment, walking distance to the Acropolis!!

"I cannot recommend this apartment enough. We had already stayed in Santorini and Mykonos, both hotels and privately owned accommodations, and this was our last stop. My husband and I were blown away at how well-equipped it was! This apartment, first of all, has a glorious view of the Acropolis that is lit up at night for that gorgeous evening view. In the morning, you can watch the Guards raise the flag from the ancient ruins. The owner had his assistant waiting for us when we arrived, late in the evening, and gave us a tour. The apartment has everything - the kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, fully stocked utensils, etc. The bathroom is totally Americanized - the shower is completely glass and tile-enclosed with an overhead rainshower function and also hand-held wand. It also has a washing machine which was such a great amenity to have after a lot of traveling. The terrace is lovely with a table and chairs. You may sit outside, daytime or evening, watching the tourists wandering about the ancient ruins or enjoying the backlit view of the Acropolis. Even though you have floor-to-ceiling glass in both the bedroom and living area, the owner has installed black-out storm shutters for reducing light and sound while sleeping. The owner also supplied a welcome kit with not only shower accessories (and a hair dryer - which if you are American, you know your own dryer will never work here!) but also supplied kitchen essentials such as coffee pods for the Nespresso machine. This apartment has a very nice, smooth functioning elevator and the lobby has a security door leading into the building. The building itself is extremely quiet. And the very best part - you are in Plaka, so you only have to walk a few steps to get to multiple restaurants, pubs, shopping, nightlife, smoothie juice bars (my fav!) and the Acropolis, Acropolis Museum, the Ancient Agora.... My husband and I even watched a live Greek play at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus within the Acropolis! All in all, I am glad that we ended our Greek travels at this apartment - it truly was the best part of our stay!"

  • Ideal!!

"Die ideale Unterkunft für einen Kurztrip nach Athen! Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt und sauber. Es gibt nichts zu beanstanden. Im Gegenteil, trotz der exponierten Lage im Touristenzentrum, konnten wir ohne Ruhestörung gut schlafen. Das tolle Haus ist auf jeden Fall weiter zu empfehlen, da von hier aus alle Sehenswürdigkeiten Athens zu Fuß gut erreichbar sind."
