  • brilliant property in a nice location by the sea

"the property is situated right in front of the sea in porto rafti right outside a main road which can be a tad noisey at times espcialy at nite time .local shops are a bit of a treck away the nearest supermarket is half a mile away but there are two kiosks ither end of the road within walking distance. you will defo need a car at this location as there are no taxi ranks anywhere near the apartment but saying that the owners father put us in contact with a local taxi driver who took us where we wanted to go 99% of the time. swimming near the apartment is ok but its mainly rocks and they do have sea urchins on the rocks and my partner did stand on one (remedy for this is put your foot in vinigar asap to desolve the spines)or get your self some rubber slip on shoes ..... for a sandy beach you need to go to avlaki beack 3 KM away or a good 45 mins walk .. its EU5 to get onto the beach but they sell food and drink and have toilets ,showers and changeing rooms ...well worth it, but go early as it gets full by 10am. there are pleanty of restraunts and cafe's about ... food and drink is expencive in porto rafti but local gyros are cheap and very tasty . natasha's mother rang us up a few times to make sure we had everything we needed and her farther only works down the road at the navy bar and he is very helpfull if you need anything ... just ring him up and he will help you sort anything out .the apartment was wonderfull and homley it has two bed room with two doube beds and one bed room has an extra camp bed so it sleeps 5 very comphy ,large lounge with small kitchen is well apointen with dining table ,sofa and tv and free wi-fi . balcony over looks the sea with stunning views to the east and you get full sun from sunrise till about midday . christos was our local taxi driver and you can get him on this number +30 694 4153500 rates to athens is EU 38 and to sounion to see the temple of posidon was EU120 with him waiting for 2 hours so you can spend time at the temple as there isnt any taxi ranks at sounion for return journies. august can be very windy and very hot uo to 37c as we found out but our overall stay was fantastic and thank you natasha for letting us use your beautiful home"

  • Beautiful view

"The view is just as beautiful as it seems. The area a few miles from the town so fairly secluded from noise as well as things to do, but still surrounded by other residences. Everything was as pictured. The island of salamis is not really a tourist island, so be prepared to learn a little greek if you don't speak it, as anything more than basic words in english are hit and miss around the town. The island as a whole looks very much like the rest of Greece. Industrial and dirty in some parts, and unbelievably beautiful in other parts. The host and owner was very helpful and available, and always called us right back if we needed anything. Definitely made it easy to reach him and always answered any questions we had. This would be a good place to come if you just want to sit and read a book on the balcony. The view is incredible and doesn't ever get old! We came in sept and oct and the weather was perfect. 70 and sunny every day."
