  • Fantastic Holiday from Booking to Leaving

"From the minute we booked and the regular and helpful emails from Katerina to leaving for the airport, this was a wonderful, perfect and relaxing holiday. The villa is clean, comfortable and modern and, of course, has the most amazing view that you can just sit and stare at for the whole week if you wished. Adriana is discrete but comes in every day to make the beds, empty the bins and do a general clean up, and a friendly guy cleans the pool each morning. There's ample sun loungers (with proper cushions) and the villa comes with pool side towels to keep your bath towels clean and dry. The villa itself is well equipped and the air conditioning works well, although we preferred to leave the doors open, a/c off and listen to the sea which is literally a stones throw away. The views are unobstructed from every window of the back of the villa and from the outside dining area and pool. There's plenty of activity on the water to watch, including the big super yachts that moor overnight down below the villa. The village is a short walk (down some steps and a slight slope) with four restaurants and a beach cafe and two mini-markets. We hired a car and really only needed it twice (to/from the airport and to/from Fiskardo to hire a boat) though we've been to Kefalonia before so have already done most of the touristy bits. Katerina can organise airport transfers which work out much cheaper if you don't want to travel around in a hire car. There's a diving platform into the sea, but watch the smaller kids as the sea can be a little rough against the rocks when the wind is blowing. Overall I'd highly recommend this villa or any of the others."

  • We never wanted to leave!

"Unfortunately we had to leave as before we arrived in Kefalonia for our two week stay we (stupidly) decided to spend our second week in another hotel Across the island. We wish we had booked the whole stay at Vyzantio. The staff (Jerry, Nicole and daughters) were extremely professional and extremely welcoming. The atmosphere was brilliant and we loved it because it was very family friendly (kids playing in the pool and lots of place and things to do) as well as being extremely relaxing and feeling very remote despite its wonderfully short distance to the airport and the main city! There are lots of local BEAUTIFUL beachs a short 15 minute walk away and there is a great mini market 10 min walk away. The rooms were apartments were great! Had everything in them you could want including life saving air con. There were four of us staying, my girlfriend her mother, her younger brother and myself. We paid for two apartments but we could have all easily stayed in one. The food at the hotel is simply brilliant and is exactly what you get all over the island in traditional kefalonian reastaurants. We were made to feel very welcome and after a week where quite upset to be leaving (my girlfriend actually cried). We really enjoyed our stay at Vyzantio and even now while we are across the island in a very nice hotel, we are planning our trip down there to enjoy dinner and drinks by the pool, because that place is a little more special and is located in such a perfect spot. If you're staying in Kefalonia you must stay here. You won't worry about the thing with these guys helping you with everything from lifts from the airport to car hire to just generally being lovely and giving."

  • Excellent

"The property was spotless when we arrived with welcome basket of food and a bottle of wine on the table. We arrived October 8th to meet friends so weren't worried about weather but it was fabulous, except for one day, anyway. We ate and drank on the balcony in lovely sunshine with the air still redolent with the smell of flowers. Apostolos came every day and cleaned and tidied the apartment, providing us with extra towels when he realised we went swimming. He might have been a little amazed at us going then but the water was beautifully warm in the little pebbly bays in Agia Efimia and as warm in Sami and Anti Sami as well as around the nearby island of Ithaka. Although some of the tavernas were closing the week we were there there were still a good number open and the food very good. We found Dodoni and Gialos particularly good. I would whole-heartedly recommend this apartment to anyone let alone friends or relatives."

  • Paradise Found

"My husband and I just had a week at this lovely villa in a wonderful location. What wonderful panoramic views of Mounda Bay. If you want peace and quiet, then this is the perfect place. Only the birds and a few goats can be heard at times. The villa is well maintained by the Unique team. The correspondence between the owners was excellent. We had a mixed bag of weather, but the storms were spectacular to view from the villa. Skala and Katelios are a short drive for any restaurants. The villa is well stocked with utensils if you want to cook in, and has a BBQ for alfresco eating. Can't wait to return next year for a longer stay."
