  • Lovely House With Great Location

"This cozy house was the perfect home-base to explore Iceland for our week of travels. The house itself is very spacious, clean, and well appointed, with beautiful furnishings, and comfy beds. Kristen was extremely helpful and welcoming, and upon our arrival, sat down with us and went through various maps to help us plan our travels for the week. She was also kind enough to leave fresh baking from the local bakery. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, including walking along the beach, which was right across the street. The village of Stokkseyri itself is a pleasantly quiet and quaint little village, which can easily be explored on foot. Selfoss is only a short 10 minute drive away, which makes getting groceries an easy adventure, with the house being well-equipped to prepare and cook meals as well. This house is the perfect spot for those who are looking to get off the beaten path, and we highly recommend this lovely home to those visiting Iceland. P.S. The liquor store (Vinbudin) closes at 6, and is completely closed on Sundays! We found that one out the hard way!"

  • Truth in Advertising,A Gem for sure!

"Promised at lot and still over-performed! Open , clean wonderful little house in RockCity, the oldest part of Reykjavik. All of downtown is within walking distance, with a parking spot right in front of the red door( for small and mid cars)There must be 30 restaurants within walking distance. Our favorite was Kopar,at the Harbor. Nespresso maker is nice, and after Gooling French Press instructions, gave us a different coffee style. We walked to a concert at Harpa, had an ice cream a day at Valdis and the Citywalk tour went right down our street. There is now a clothes washer(no dryer)which is handy, but we didn't know and went to Laundromat Cafe , which is great. The bands at bar around the corner can get a bit loud late Saturday night, but are fine the other nights. Don't hesitate to book this gem!"
