  • Beautiful view and very well kept cottage

"The cottage was immaculately clean and Sheila who looks after the cottage could not have been more helpful on our arrival. The building is set on the hill and has a lovely view over looking Mulroy Bay. Both it and the garden are very well maintained. The cottage is a short 5 minute drive to the local food shop at Kerrykeel, where there is also a bar and couple of restaurants. The long, beautiful sandy beach at Portsalon is 10 mins drive away and is very unspoiled and great for swimming. Driving north of the cottage takes you up to the Fanad and Rosguill Peninsulas, including the lovely Fanad lighthouse which you can now visit. The whole northern coastline is incredibly spectacular."

  • Family hol

"Stayed here for 7 nights. First time using self catering, probably the last we all missed the swimming pool & hotel facilities but that's just personal reasons. House was fine, had everything we needed. It was spotless clean which would have been my main concern, thankfully it was fine. House would be nice for elderly couple as lovely park next door to walk in & lovely beaches. Unfortunately not much to keep 3 kids entertained though as no playground or kids facilities in the complex. For this reason we were always on the road bringing the kids somewhere. I'll come back probably when the kids are older & it's just the two of us."

  • Perfect location

"We recently returned from a stay at Lisheen house and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. We were a party of twelve including four generations and the house accommodated everyone's needs from a first floor bedroom with bath to a crib and high chair. The setting is ideal with views of the ocean, the idyllic countryside and the Burren. Lisheen house is not far from Galway city, the Cliffs of Moher, Kylemore Abbey, the Sky Drive and of course the Burren National Park. Seamus and Mary are accommodating and friendly hosts. We highly recommend this property!"

  • A complete joy

"Of all the holiday homes I have rented, this is my favorite. It is beautiful, it is comfortable and cosy, and it is maintained with both love and precision. You have everything you need right at hand (and, unlike so many holiday rentals, everything works). The little stove in the living room took the chill off - and with addition of a cup of tea or a glass of wine, it made the end of every one of our days in Dunfanaghy perfect. Dunfanaghy, by the way, is a lovely village. There are several good restaurants and several cosy places for a scone and a cup of tea. The Centra is just a small market, but it had everything we needed. The cottage is close enough to the village that you can easily walk and it is a very quick drive. There are also a number of things to do that are not far away. Best of all, the view from the front door on a sunny morning will start your day with unadulturated joy."
