  • Perfect location

"We recently returned from a stay at Lisheen house and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. We were a party of twelve including four generations and the house accommodated everyone's needs from a first floor bedroom with bath to a crib and high chair. The setting is ideal with views of the ocean, the idyllic countryside and the Burren. Lisheen house is not far from Galway city, the Cliffs of Moher, Kylemore Abbey, the Sky Drive and of course the Burren National Park. Seamus and Mary are accommodating and friendly hosts. We highly recommend this property!"

  • Wonderful Stay

"This house is just as advertised--maybe better. Spotlessly clean, well equipped, and beautifully situated. We and another couple spent three nights here last week. From this home base we were able to drive all around the Burren, up to Clifden, and into Galway for some great adventures. We enjoyed sunsets walking in this quiet neighbourhood and the freshly-made ice cream from a place down the street was a particular treat. Can't recommend Heron Cottage enthusiastically enough."

  • One of the best rentals we've ever stayed in

"The most beautiful house to stay in, in a stunning part of Ireland. We loved everything about the house. Beautifully furnished, well equipped, really comfortable beds. The hosts couldn't have been more helpful - staying up until 11.30 at night to await our very late arrival. We had 3 adults and 2 children in our party and there was so much space. We were completely blessed with the hottest and sunniest week in Ireland so we didn't get to use the cosy fire in the house but instead took advantage of the lovely courtyard and stone table. A great location to explore this beautiful part of Ireland - we did lots of water based activity and cycling as it was fantastic weather. And the kids loved helping John and Brid to get their mum and baby cow from the field into the trailer. A complete gem of a house and one we would highly recommend to anyone visiting."

  • awesome

"The property was wonderful...stunning home that from the time we arrived, we felt at home. The west coast of Ireland is a land of discovery and The Stone Cottage is right in the middle of action that needs to be seen. Deirdre and Joan did a great job providing details for our stay. Unfortunately the pub close to the cottage was closed the time we stayed but Doolin is close enough for some good fun. We have stayed at B&B's previous to this stay but will consider The Stone Cottage as our West of Ireland home. Thanks"
