  • Perfect vacation!!

"This is a beautiful home, great location - central for day trips. Beautiful views, quiet location for relaxing and yet close enough walk to a local restaurant/pub! We would come back with no hesitation! Gerry/Property Manager was very helpful with recommendations of car drives and local attractions and was a super nice guy that was available but not overbearing!"

  • Perfect location

"We recently returned from a stay at Lisheen house and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. We were a party of twelve including four generations and the house accommodated everyone's needs from a first floor bedroom with bath to a crib and high chair. The setting is ideal with views of the ocean, the idyllic countryside and the Burren. Lisheen house is not far from Galway city, the Cliffs of Moher, Kylemore Abbey, the Sky Drive and of course the Burren National Park. Seamus and Mary are accommodating and friendly hosts. We highly recommend this property!"

  • Perfect!

"This cottage and its surroundings are exactly as described in the listing. I took a photo almost every time I passed the kitchen window because it was difficult to believe THAT view! The cottage is comfortably furnished, clean and spacious, too; yet, lighting a fire in the fireplace at night makes the house so cozy. The place is secluded, but there are distant houses so that you don't feel completely isolated. In front of the cottage is a beautiful green field which you can cross to get to The Cliffs of Moher. They are right there at the field's edge. We walked the trail in both directions. The Cliffs are spectacular. Doolin is a short drive in one direction, and Liscannor is a short drive in the other direction. We found great food and music in Doolin, but it was difficult to want to leave the cottage for long. Each time we ventured out, we found ourselves missing the peacefulness and the views. So, we often brought our food back to the cottage to enjoy at the gorgeous farm table in front of the fireplace. Of course, the kitchen is fully equipped, too. We made breakfast there each morning. We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay here or with our visit to Ireland. We will always treasure these memories."

  • awesome

"The property was wonderful...stunning home that from the time we arrived, we felt at home. The west coast of Ireland is a land of discovery and The Stone Cottage is right in the middle of action that needs to be seen. Deirdre and Joan did a great job providing details for our stay. Unfortunately the pub close to the cottage was closed the time we stayed but Doolin is close enough for some good fun. We have stayed at B&B's previous to this stay but will consider The Stone Cottage as our West of Ireland home. Thanks"
