  • We had a wonderful time!

"This home has loads of personality and was the perfect location for our extended family during our weeklong trip to The Burren. Even during rainy times, we were occupied with the many books and nicknacks here, and when the sun came out, we were charmed by the beautiful garden as well. Connie and Sean, right next door, were always available to offer assistance and advice when needed, and were as charming as the house itself. Highly recommended."

  • Perfect Holiday!

"This was our first trip to Ireland. We choose the Old Parochial House with the lovely 1 bedroom restored cottage, and we were SO happy that we did. It was wonderful to come home to a turf fire after a day of exploring the surrounding towns, sites, pubs, and beaches. We were close to Ennis, where we took a train into Dublin and Belfast. We rented a car for the two weeks that we were there, so we could easily get to Ring of Kerry, Dingle Peninsula, Cliffs of Moher, Connamara, the Burren, and so on. The west coast of Ireland is beautiful, and pristine! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling from the states to Ireland! Only 40 miles from the Shannon Airport, too...."

  • wonderful stay at Sycamore House

"We celebrated a milestone birthday in Ballyvaughan with family and friends from Australia and the UK. Sycamore House was perfect for our large group and comfortably accommodated our group of 12. The booking process was smooth, the owners Seamus and Mary met us on arrival and provided all the information required. The house is roomy, beds are comfortable, showers are lovely and warm and the ambience is perfect. Its a short stroll to the local village. We hadca great week and hope to be back again soon."

  • awesome

"The property was wonderful...stunning home that from the time we arrived, we felt at home. The west coast of Ireland is a land of discovery and The Stone Cottage is right in the middle of action that needs to be seen. Deirdre and Joan did a great job providing details for our stay. Unfortunately the pub close to the cottage was closed the time we stayed but Doolin is close enough for some good fun. We have stayed at B&B's previous to this stay but will consider The Stone Cottage as our West of Ireland home. Thanks"
