  • Fabulous home in central Ireland

"Our family of 6 had a wonderful stay at Michael and Emer's place near Nenagh. We loved that it was in a quiet, residential area. Our kids have food allergies and so we prepared most of our own food and the kitchen was fully equipped and very clean/modern. We found the location to be excellent for easy day trips and we went to Galway, Dublin, Cliffs of Moher, Bunratty Castle and Kilkenny quite easily. We loved all the tips the owner left us about local places to go -- especially Goosers. Highly recommend! Hope return again! Thank you to our responsive hosts!"

  • Jewel in the Crown!

"We have stayed in Pine Ridge twice. Firstly for two weeks in 2015 and returning in 2016 for two months as we enjoyed it so much  The house is large and roomy for larger families or just a couple like us. We brought our family over from the UK for the weekend it was extremely comfortable for as all. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could wish for. Pine Ridge is really a home from home. The garden is large and delightful with a patio for outside dining and sun loungers for relaxing. A lovely area at the bottom of the property overlooks the brook which runs into the lough, great for a Guinness or a glass of wine. If the weather is inclement the cosy lounge has a great wood burning stove.  Within walking distance of three pubs a bistro and the local hotel Mountshannon is set in beautiful countryside with plenty of interesting places to visit. Dont miss the daily boat trips to St Patrick's Purgatory an ancient pilgrims site on Station Island in Lough Derg. There is a beautiful walk from the house to Lough Derg for that leasurley evening stroll.  The jewel in the crown is the owner's Louise and Shaun who are warm and lovely people. They could not be more helpful and were the perfect hosts.  We have rented a number of properties in the West of Ireland and this is without doubt the best."

  • A very relaxing retreat.

"My wife and I stayed at Primrose Cottage for 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. The breakfast items supplied were more than we could eat in the 3 days and were very good. Finding it was a little difficult but Rebecca led us to it. I highly recommend staying here. The only drawbacks we found were the narrow roads getting to and from the cottage but that is the norm in rural Ireland. We also were there during the warmest part of the summer and even though it was cool at night eliminating the need for AC, a fan to circulate the air would have helped us sleep better. I would also recommend the Whiskey Still restaurant about 15 minutes away. Very good food. We were easy driving distance from many sites. Thank you Allison and Rebecca for the lovely time we had at your cottage. T. Walter"
