  • Superb view over the Atlantic

"It is the third time we have been here and love to come back in two years. Although the weather was not so nice as usual we could see Dolphins in the bay (with binoculars). We have been fishing from Courtmacsherry on Lady Patricia when we saw a group of 15 to 20 (pilot-?) whales inside the bay at very shallow water. This cottage is realy a good starting point for several activities and we all like to sit there looking at the various birds including the hunting gunnets which show up every day."

  • Excellent cottage in the heart of Kinsale.

"stayed here with my wife and two teenage daughters[17,13], the cottage is right in the heart of Kinsale,Fishy Fishy is next door. The cottage is spotless clean and very well maintained, and looks exactly as it does in the photos. Donna the agent was very helpful and will book restaurants or activities if you wish. We fell in love with Kinsale as soon as we arrived, it has loads of fine restaurants, pubs, and cafes and is a great base for seeing other parts of Cork, we visited Fota island, Mizen Head, Cobh, Garretstown Beach. Charles Fort is great to see and on the walk back you have to stop at the Bulman for a pint of Murphy's while sitting on the pier wall to enjoy the view of Kinsale. I have already recommended the property to family,we don't hope to book House of Stanley again because we know that we definitely will."

  • comfortable home from home

"The apartment was well equipped and very comfortable for four people, with great views over the harbour. Scilly is a lovely quiet area of Kinsale and it is only a ten minute walk into the town. There are some excellent shops and restaurants and plenty of lively pubs with Trad music most evenings. From the lounge window and balcony guests can look out over Irene's attractive garden and enjoy the view. We were lucky to get some lovely weather and enjoyed watching changes to the water and sky. It is a bonus to have a car parking space. Irene is a generous, cosiderate and helpful host and can offer advice on the best places to visit, shop and eat."

  • Superb!

"It is a beautiful, comfortable house. The location is perfect: a short walk from all the sights, restaurants, and pubs - but also very quiet. I would highly recommend this property and would gladly stay there again. (Only suggestion is to put some black-out curtains on the windows facing the street as the street light shines in at night.)"
