  • Excellent cottage in the heart of Kinsale.

"stayed here with my wife and two teenage daughters[17,13], the cottage is right in the heart of Kinsale,Fishy Fishy is next door. The cottage is spotless clean and very well maintained, and looks exactly as it does in the photos. Donna the agent was very helpful and will book restaurants or activities if you wish. We fell in love with Kinsale as soon as we arrived, it has loads of fine restaurants, pubs, and cafes and is a great base for seeing other parts of Cork, we visited Fota island, Mizen Head, Cobh, Garretstown Beach. Charles Fort is great to see and on the walk back you have to stop at the Bulman for a pint of Murphy's while sitting on the pier wall to enjoy the view of Kinsale. I have already recommended the property to family,we don't hope to book House of Stanley again because we know that we definitely will."

  • Lovely stay on Fota Island

"The Fota Island Resort is a very lovely and beautyfull location, where we enjoyed our stay. It is a family-friendly place, where you can forget your stressfull everyday life. Only a small disatvantage ist the fact that the kitchen is not well equipped, if you want to prepare proper meals."

  • Wonderful cottage in fabulous surroundings! We loved it.

"The cottage was warm and welcoming, even with a winter gale blowing outside. We were very comfortable there, the kitchen was very well set up for a holiday let - small but had all the essentials and plenty to make some interesting meals if we'd had more time. We even made a birthday cake! The beds were warm and comfortable, and we really enjoyed waking up to the view into the harbour. There was plenty of hot water all the time and the shower was lovely. The washing machine and drier were also useful after a muddy walk locally! The sitting room was lovely and cosy, and it was such a nice touch to find the fire set ready to just light. And I would have loved to explore the interesting bookshelf for longer. But we spent most time in the kitchen/diner, looking out at the ocean. It was nice to watch ocean traffic at sea and also in the harbour, and catch the pilot jumping down a couple of times to his own boat from larger ships. We rented the cottage for Christmas to visit family, and we were able to host them there for the birthday party that falls over the period. It was great to be local to them and do all the visiting needed. But we will be back again when we can just relax and enjoy the cottage, its surroundings and watching the sea more."
