  • Well-appointed place with a wonderful view!

"This place is close enough to Galway to walk to the city center, but just far away to provide peace and quiet. The little town of Salthill has a cute coffee shop and a great pub. Do not miss eating st Ard Via, right near the Spanish Arch. We also listened to great Irish music at The Crane Bar. Sean was a kind and helpful host, and you would have anything you needed to eat in if you like."

  • Splendid serenity

"This lovely cottage on Mannin Bay in the Connemara region is exactly as depicted in the photos and description. The house is bright and cheerful with updated amenities. The large picture window in the main living area was our entertainment as we watched the seals and herons. Melanie made sure we knew how to use the fireplace which we did at night. She placed fresh flowers on the table to greet us and made sure we knew how to reach her during our stay. Melanie gave us suggestions for sightseeing including making sure we knew about a children's parade in nearby Clifden that weekend. It is a bit longer of a drive on narrow roads back to Galway City than we anticipated so we modified our plans to stay in the Connemara region. The cottage provided a quiet home base for our visit. The house is well equipped including a kitchen which met our needs completely. We didn't see that reflective safety vests were in the house as we had seen in other lodgings during our visit to the country. The roads are not well lit so be sure to bring your own gear if you plan to walk during the evening or early morning. Otherwise, we wanted for nothing and we would definitely recommend this wonderful house for anyone wanting a place to stay while visiting Connemara."

  • Awesome

"Our family was delighted to spend four days at this Roundstone home. The views outside the front door would take your breath away. The home was very clean and had plenty of room for the nine of us. Bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable and spacious. Town was a short walk and there were good restaurants, grocery store and pubs. You definitely will enjoy the beauty of the Irish countryside. Loved our stay in Roundstone-hope to get back someday and would surely rent this home again!"

  • Breathtaking and Magical

"We had the immense pleasure of discovering Errislannan this past week and fell absolutely in love with this home and the stunning surroundings. My husband and I wanted to plan a trip for our family--so we were joined by our parents and siblings for a week in Connemara and this home was absolutely ideal. Everyone had private rooms and bathrooms and plenty of space to "get away" for a little while and we enjoyed several nights in the dining room playing games, reading by the fire in the living room, enjoying breakfast and coffee in the mornings while taking in the gorgeous sea, cliffs and greenery in every direction. We all slept so well every night, enjoyed luxurious baths in the mornings or after a long walk, and the house was geographically so well-situated for our many day trips--to Galway, the Aran Islands, into Clifden, north to Westport, pony rides nearby, rambles on the beach right outside the house. We ate several wonderful meals in Clifden and heard wonderful music many nights--next time we have to make it to Lowry's. Suffice it to say we all fell in love and hope to return many times. Marcus was wonderful--responsive to all of our (many) logistical questions before our arrival and Karen was there each morning to tidy up and answer questions about best local spots, things to do, the house and area, etc. We felt taken care of completely and also like it was a peaceful family retreat to get away from our busy lives and spend quality time together in a gorgeous part of the world. If you are considering a visit to the area, there is no better place to stay than this amazing house and environs."
