  • Our stay here was fantastic!!!

"Our stay here at Flemingstown House was wonderful. This was my first experience in booking a house internationally. I was a bit nervous but went ahead anyway. Imelda was just wonderful. Everything that she told us and the description on the Home Away web site was just as she described it. We were greeted with a warm welcome and a wonderful spread of meats, cheeses, crackers and fruit. The fireplaces were lit and the house was warm and inviting. We were so pleased with everything about the house. It was clean, neat, well furnished and well maintained. Everything worked just as you would expect. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked at least 4 different nights without any issues. The grocery is close by so it is easy to get the items you need. We stayed in this home for several specific reasons. First it was large enough to accommodate our party which was 10-11 depending on the day, for most of the trip. It was perfectly located for us to sight see. We went to the Dingle Peninsula, Waterford, Cork, Limerick, Straffan, 5 different castles, and many wonderful small towns. It was easy to return and make our own dinner instead of eating out every night. Also we made our own breakfast each day and the kitchen was wonderful to work in. We were very glad for the rural setting which provided us with a quiet and serene place to just relax in the evening. I can easily and enthusiastically recommend this home as a great place to be when you want to come and visit the country of Ireland. Can't wait to return and explore more of Ireland."

  • So pleased with our choice of this site.

"Earlson farmhouse was exactly as represented on the site. We immediately loved the property and the owners. Anne and Dan were available and made us feel as if we had known them for years and were just popping in for a visit. The property is meticulously maintained, spacious and lovingly restored. Our group included 3 ladies. We always felt secure and thoroughly enjoyed the grounds and walking in the area. The property can be used as a restful retreat as well as a central location for daily trips in and around southwest Ireland. The nearest town is Adare which we visited several times during our stay. It is a charming town that loves visitors. There is a local pub that recently opened and we enjoyed their services several times during our stay. The property is approximately 50 minutes from Shannon airport and even with our early flight, we chose to return from a second leg of our trip in Kenmare to spend a bit more time before our flight out. I feel like we have left friends behind who we would love to visit again. Many thanks to Anne and Dan for their generous spirit."

  • Charming cottage, charming hosts

"This is a wonderful country cottage that makes a great base for exploring southwest Ireland. The cottage is modern yet cozy, and in a rural location that gives you silent, restful nights, all while being within easy reach of all that southwest Ireland has to offer. The host and hostess are very gracious and accessible, without being obtrusive. Great rental - we will be back, but for longer next time!"

The people could not have been more friendly and welcoming! Knocklong's celebration was not to be missed. Nor is the Fox's Den just a short stroll down the road."
