  • A lovely cottage on the outskirts of Limerick city

"Our family of five (2 adults and three kids) stayed here for 3 nights. It's only approx 25 mins drive into Limerick and was easy to find. The owner Pat welcomed us with a well stocked cottage including fresh milk and homemade buns. The cottage was spacious and well laid out. The children were pleased to have their own beds to sleep in. It's worth mentioning that the beds were very comfortable, with excellent mattresses and even electric blankets!. One thing worth noting is that as it is an old property it can get quite cold at night and we often needed to turn on the heating to keep warm. The electricity is extra and our three night stay cost us an additional €20."

  • Charming cottage, charming hosts

"This is a wonderful country cottage that makes a great base for exploring southwest Ireland. The cottage is modern yet cozy, and in a rural location that gives you silent, restful nights, all while being within easy reach of all that southwest Ireland has to offer. The host and hostess are very gracious and accessible, without being obtrusive. Great rental - we will be back, but for longer next time!"

"What a delightful house - full of charm and convenience! Close to many things and homey in a wonderful way. Theresa was wonderful and helpful - really a fabulous host. We travelled as a 3 generation family and the house made it so easy to accomodate our schedules and needs. Thanks While here make sure to have dinner in town - delish!!"

  • Beautiful farm with very accommodating owners

"I recently visited Ireland with my wife and 2 children (6 and 8). We decided to stay at the Cahregal farmhouse for 3 nights of our trip. The owners are both very nice and gave us a tour of the farm, which my kids loved. The kids fed the hens, watched a horse with a swollen knee be attended to, and helped herd the cows into an adjoining field. My children also adored Buttons, the owners' small dog. The self catering house we stayed in was very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. There is a EuroSpar supermarket about a 5 minute drive in Newmarket on Fergus, which we used to pick up some of the basics. The location is convenient to Bunratty Castle, the Cliffs of Moher, as well as the Burren."
