  • Property owners very helpful

"The owners of this property are close by and helpful. We ran into a situation where my luggage was lost and they accepted the luggage from the airline courier while we were out for the day. It was nice that they did that and helped us move on from a stressful luggage situation. Thanks again."

  • more than a holiday home

"The cottage is more like a home from home, it had everything anyone needs and more, the children were happy that it had WiFi to enable them access to their favorites on YouTube, only thing lacking is a tumble drier for rainy days. It is in a great area for exploring the countryside and a regular bus service into Dublin one way and Arklow the other. I'd definitely stay here again."

  • Great value and extremely comfortable

"The Nook worked out very well for our holiday. With a hire car, there is no shortage of destinations and day-trips within easy reach, and the level of amenities and comfort easily surpasses what is available in downtown Dublin for the same price range. Daniel is a superb host -- very helpful and accessible. The grounds of the property are great -- we are a family of three and our daughter loves football (soccer), and Daniel's house has a full-sized pitch out back, in addition to the tennis court. The apartment was very clean, nicely appointed and well-equipped. The beds were particularly comfortable and the upstairs is quite spacious. I used the internet for work with no difficulties and we were able to log into our Netflix and Amazon accounts on the television. The immediate surroundings are refreshingly peaceful and serene; I think it would be good for long walks although we lacked time to try that. Nearby destinations include a number of marvelous sea-side towns -- Bray, Dalkey and Dun Laoghaire. Bray has a brilliant fish-and-chips shop and there are numerous grocery stores just a short drive away, including Lidle, a Tesco and some others. Other nearby destinations include Glendalough and Powerscourt, and not too far is Wicklow and the spectacular Brittas Bay beach. We also made easy trips to Cashel and Newgrange, and Trim is within reach. We'll certainly remember the Nook very fondly."
