  • For a Family of 15

"We brought our 12 natural born children, ages 22 down to 6 months old, along with our son-in-law, from the US to Ireland for the first time. It was amazing!! Kara Hem was the perfect place from which to take in the entire southwest region of Ireland. From the Ring of Kerry to Desmond Castle and Cork, we filled up 7 days of sight-seeing and pleasure. Killarney is my most favorite city, the people, the shops, the food, and the grocery stores with which we became very familiar with a visit a day. Kara Hem is situated in the middle of dairy farms with the cows visiting the fence line daily. It was quiet and secluded from the hustle and bustle of town, with views out every window that took your breath away. The only draw backs were the VERY squeaky floors making it difficult for a sleeping baby to remain asleep if you walked upstairs, and the small washer and dryer for our size group. We did enjoy using the laundry line, though, for the first time ever. The rooms were beautifully decorated and spacious creating a nice retreat for each and every one from the chatter of the family, mostly happening in the kitchen. After staying in a castle closer to Dublin following Kara Hem, even our little ones preferred the homey feel and location of Kara Hem. If I could sum it up in one word....romantic. The memories will last a lifetime. Thank you!"

  • Excellent location, quiet neighborhood.

"We spent three days in the Dublin area. This apartment was close to the DART and just a few short stops from Dublin. Everything was clean and in working order making for a nice and comfortable stay. We would come back the next time we visit Ireland."

  • Review for Property

"I thought this property was cleaned and well kept in a great location. The rooms and bathrooms were a good size. only downside was one of the "king beds" was really 2 twin beds pushed together. Understand they probably do that in case more people rent the place but it was a bit uncomfortable. Overall however the place is great and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful."

  • Beautiful, serene setting

"Very easy to book, check in and out, and communicate with the owner. Very friendly and welcoming, and the property was perfect for two couples. Many things to see and do nearby, and places to eat and shop as well. Highly recommend it!"
