  • Awesome

"Our stay at son viguet was nothing short of fabulous. We were three families which housed us very comfortably. The views from the pool and master bedroom are breathtaking. Close by there is a charming winery (buy the wine here and not at the supermarket). Make sure you take the effort to do the hike to he outlook on Dragonera. You won't be disappointed. We are not cyclists but there seems to be many around. The property is a short drive to the port of Andratx which has little shops and restaurants to choose from. Son viguet was a lovely retreat and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!"

  • Coolcloger is a Rare Gem

"We are a large family (12, including a 6 month old and a 2 year old) that likes to travel together. Of the many amazing vacations we've enjoyed, our stay at the Coolcloger House was at the very top of our list. The website gives a mere suggestion of the delights that await Coolclogher guests. The home, minutes from Killarney, has been restored by its owners, Mary and Maurice Harnett, to its former glory, with beautiful antiques, exquisite wallpapers, and historic paint colors. The bedrooms are perfectly appointed, each with its own bath and breathtaking vistas from every room to the Kerry countryside. The beds/pillows are very comfortable, the linens fresh and white and crisp. The kitchen is very well outfitted, complete with a 6-burner Aga oven/range. There are several large gathering spaces, and multiple fireplaces, one of which was prepared for us every night. Yet, Coolcloger is not austere; every space is inviting and comfortable. We felt all week like we were at the home of some generous relative. Mary and Maurice were on hand as needed throughout our stay to advise and guide us about everything from outings, meals (she has outstanding chefs on hand who can prepare meals as desired), shopping (she drove us to her butcher and baker), and even party planning. On this last point, let me say that she orchestrated a elegant dinner at Coolclogher for my husband's birthday, which included rack of lamb, a homemade birthday cake, and live Irish music and dancing. What a night! I wanted to cry (in fact, I did cry) when we left. Our family always wants to choose a new adventure when planning travel, but we all agree we'll return to Coolclogher!"

  • Wonderful apartment in a great location!

"We just returned from a great family trip that included Paris. Anne's apartment was truly the icing on the cake! First, Anne is a wonderful host (along with her cousin Laure). They made sure our visit was flawless. The apartment itself was perfect for our family of 4. It was well-maintained and had all of the little extras you expect in a vacation rental. They even left a bottle of wine for us. Keep in mind, this is a classic Parisian building that is fairly old. The apartment is nicely updated, but the floors are quite squeaky (particularly for those late-night visits to the bathroom). Something to consider if you're a light sleeper. Location is great. It's a typical Parisian neighborhood, but not full of tourists or hotels. Yet it was just a short walk or metro journey to any of the city's tourist destinations. The weather was mild, but we did enjoy the air conditioning on two of the nights. I highly recommend this apartment for anyone wanting a relaxed, local experience, but with all the modern comforts of home."
