  • June 2016 This place is beautiful! We were 4 adults and 2 teenagers and we spent 7 nights at Villa

"June 2016 This place is beautiful! We were 4 adults and 2 teenagers and we spent 7 nights at Villa Giovanna. Each room is located in a different floor so everyone gets plenty of space and privacy. There’re more bathrooms and little terraces than we managed to use during our stay, and all the outdoor areas afforded views of the sea or the gardens. The villa has just been renovated and is a beautiful home with attention to every detail (we learned it’s been with the family for a long time). All you need is plenty available and of quality from table cloths, bed linens, towels, beach bags, washer, bbq and kitchen everything. Giovanna had also a wonderful welcome package with enough to prepare more than a full-day meal (breakfast, lunch and dinner, including wine and spirits), which is quite nice if you're arriving late or need to prepare yourself for the steps to take you to town. You have the option of asking grocery delivered, but we found it was easier to go there to learn of the options - we also had some difficulty calling but Carolina helped us. We had most of our dinners at home as it was wonderful to seat on the terrace with a beautiful sunset and ocean view after a long day walking. Mind you, the road below isn't without noise (church bells is also a constant and charming feature of Italy) but that didn't stop us from having a relaxing time. Carolina booked our trip to Pompeii, our transfers and was available for any questions we had. As mentioned on the site there are close to 80 steps to get to the house but they can arrange for a porter to carry your luggage. The walk to town (Amalfi) is about 15 min. on the main road (where everybody walks or take the bus) or you can go up the steps and explore the narrow pathways through the village. Be prepared for steps! We walked to Ravello, Atrani, and the Path of Gods. It isn't easy but rewarding ( I highly recommend the book Sorrento, Amalfi Coast and Capri: Car Tours and Walks by Julian Tippett). Nice to go back to Villa Giovanna after all the walk!"

  • Beautiful place!

"Two families with 4 adults and 4 kids from 13 to 17. This place was fantastic. So much room with so many indoor and outdoor spaces. The garden and grounds were fabulous. The lemon trees were amazing! Kids had a great time making lemon aid daily. By far though the best part of our stay was having Rita and Luigi come in each night to make all of us dinner. Seafood pasta was the best I've ever had and I need the recipe. Don't miss out on this treat if just one night or every night possible. Wife has said this was the best vacation ever!!!!"

  • Lovely B&B, spectacular location, amazing staff and hosts

"We had the most amazing stay in early July, 2016. The property has a spectacular view, beautiful welcoming garden as you walk in. The staff (Antonio, Lena) and hosts (Maria and Giancarlo) are absolutely lovely, and welcome you right away. They are very helpful with parking and welcome you with refreshments and smiles. We had two rooms- one for 2 adults and the other for our kids. They were spotless, comfortable and very nice accommodations. The great breakfast every morning (with homemade baked lemon treats, fresh local fruit, preserves) was enjoyed in the garden, then Antonio would take us to our excursions or into Amalfi so that we would not have to navigate the roads or find parking. Antonio is a wealth of information and really helped make our trip great! We would recommend the hotel to anyone and know you would enjoy your stay-- we hope to be back!"
