  • Perfect. Assolutamente perfetto.

"Although weary from travel, we were newly energized upon arrival by the sheer beauty of the surroundings and the warmest, most genuine welcome by our hosts! If you want to experience real Italian hospitality, this is the place you need to book. Everything from the well appointed furnishings (nothing lacking here!) to the stunning views (BREATHTAKING) was beyond compare. Our wonderful hosts Oliver & Lella were gracious and accessible. While always available when we needed them, they were absolutely hidden from view at all times, which made it a challenge to pin them down when we so badly wanted them to join us for an espresso! They both are salt of the earth... the kind of people you can sit and talk with all night long without tiring. As so many reviews stated, this property is situated in the ideal spot. Walks to bus stops are very short, and connect to Amalfi town square, Positano, Ravello, Minori and Maiori in a hop, skip and jump. Your jaw will drop at the stark beauty of any of those destinations and the friendly people you will encounter will make you feel like a local, not a tourist. Our 7 days there just scratched the surface of this amazing region of Italy. We could spend 2 full weeks and still feel there was not enough time. Bottom line: WONDERFUL hosts. Best in Italy...hands down. Location, location, has it all, with every amenity you need. You better act fast to book this place because I guarantee it will fill up quickly!"

  • Wonderful Apartment

"My family and I spent 10 days in this great Amalfi apartment. It's vicinity and accessibility made it a perfect vacation spot. It was clean and the terrace was a high point the view was really great and it could not have been easier to rent. The air conditioning and Wifi were really key and the agent was super helpful. You'll wake to church bells everyday !"

  • June 2016 This place is beautiful! We were 4 adults and 2 teenagers and we spent 7 nights at Villa

"June 2016 This place is beautiful! We were 4 adults and 2 teenagers and we spent 7 nights at Villa Giovanna. Each room is located in a different floor so everyone gets plenty of space and privacy. There’re more bathrooms and little terraces than we managed to use during our stay, and all the outdoor areas afforded views of the sea or the gardens. The villa has just been renovated and is a beautiful home with attention to every detail (we learned it’s been with the family for a long time). All you need is plenty available and of quality from table cloths, bed linens, towels, beach bags, washer, bbq and kitchen everything. Giovanna had also a wonderful welcome package with enough to prepare more than a full-day meal (breakfast, lunch and dinner, including wine and spirits), which is quite nice if you're arriving late or need to prepare yourself for the steps to take you to town. You have the option of asking grocery delivered, but we found it was easier to go there to learn of the options - we also had some difficulty calling but Carolina helped us. We had most of our dinners at home as it was wonderful to seat on the terrace with a beautiful sunset and ocean view after a long day walking. Mind you, the road below isn't without noise (church bells is also a constant and charming feature of Italy) but that didn't stop us from having a relaxing time. Carolina booked our trip to Pompeii, our transfers and was available for any questions we had. As mentioned on the site there are close to 80 steps to get to the house but they can arrange for a porter to carry your luggage. The walk to town (Amalfi) is about 15 min. on the main road (where everybody walks or take the bus) or you can go up the steps and explore the narrow pathways through the village. Be prepared for steps! We walked to Ravello, Atrani, and the Path of Gods. It isn't easy but rewarding ( I highly recommend the book Sorrento, Amalfi Coast and Capri: Car Tours and Walks by Julian Tippett). Nice to go back to Villa Giovanna after all the walk!"

  • Beautiful, private and secure villa in a highly convenient location

"Villa II Gioiello met all of our expectations. It was like home away from home. Very clean, spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect in that it was a five to ten minute walk into Towne for the supermarket, restaurants, shopping areas and access to tourist activities. Very safe area to walk into Towne at night. Mena, the Office Manager was an excellent hostess and very helpful with questions and in arranging excursions for us."
