  • Well Located Spacious Apartment

"More than enough room for my wife and I, my daughter and her two children. 3 good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms with tub/shower in each. Large dining/livingroom. Good sized fully equipped kitchen with small washing machine. Good sized balcony with chairs and a table overlooking the street. Located on the main street of Maiori a couple of floors above a gelatoria, just 1 minute walk to the beach, boardwalk and children’s playground. We stayed here in late July 2016, after a one week stay in Minuta(Scala) just 20 minutes away where we had to be out by 10. Although we arrived much before the check in time, Raffaella (who owns the apartment along with her mother Anna?) let us bring up our luggage to the apartment, then took me to the complementary parking spot (shared with another car) in an enclosed area beside the road just past the east end of beach. Raffaella was very helpful throughout our 3 night stay via What'sApp and beforehand via e-mail. There was a clothesline adjacent to the kitchen in the interior courtyard. Beach toys were provided as well as beach towels. The only negative for the apartment is that it is not airconditioned. Being the middle of summer that meant that our windows were open at night to take advantage of the cool breezes from the sea. However, as the apartment is located on the main street (which is closed off to cars, pedestrians only) there was entertainment just below our window until midnight on Saturday and Sunday, and people walking, dining and talking in the street below well after that. We had just come from virtual seclusion in Minuta, and wanted to be in the middle of the "action" so this was not a major problem. Be warned. This is not a quiet hideaway. All and all a pleasant stay."

  • Outstanding property - far exceeded expectations - stunning views, modern home, excellent hosts

"We chose to stay here based on the photos of the views, which unbelievably are actually considerably better than the photos show. Beyond that this was a wonderful place to live for a week. The historic home has very recently been remodeled and it is modern, fresh, spotlessly clean, and has more supplies in the kitchen than I have ever seen in a Homeaway house. There are two large patios with amazing views and both bedrooms also have large windows overlooking the sea. Outside the home there is a terrace with grape vines that could comfortably hold a party of 20. The large, beautiful, property includes extensive lemon groves, grape vines, and a vegetable garden. Additional amenities include a reserved parking space (very important in Ravello), modern security, gifts of food grown on the property and honey produced by the owner, and an additional full bath and washing machine a few steps outside. The home is owned by Marco and managed by his daughter Antonella. Marco was charming and showed me around the lemon farm. His daughter, who is multilingual, was the perfect host, immediately responsive, and helped us with great local suggestions. The street is quiet and feels very separate from the touristy area of Ravello - though it is just a 5 minute drive to the city center or 20 minute walk. For us, this property and visiting Ravello and the region, was great for relaxing, a lovely Italian experience, and learning some history. The only thing to keep in mind is that there are about 90 steps up to the home (and the region in general requires a lot of walking and stairs). This would not be suitable for someone with limited mobility though it is quiet and private and one can take their time if, like me, you are not used to that many stairs. I was remarkably impressed with everything about this stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ravello or the Amalfi region."

  • All we expected and much much more

"The Villa was spacious and very clean. Pool area second to none and the views spectacular. We had a fantastic family holiday and would recommend this to anyone. Our only one disappointment is the walk down to the sea is harder than we expected and getting in and out of the water is for the fit and fearless only ! Thank you to Carmela who was discreetly available when needed. Maori was a delight not too touristy and busy with a good choice of friendly restaurants and bars."
