  • A Great Place to Stay in Rome!

"This is a wonderful apartment in a perfect location for touring Rome. We recently completed an 18 night stay and enjoyed ourselves tremendously (We actually had stayed here for 2 weeks last year as well). The apartment is well appointed and decorated with nice attention to detail. Enrique is a terrific host--he is extremely responsive to all requests and can also arrange for airport transportation which we definitely recommend. The hosts also provide a very helpful list of recommendations for services in the area. In addition to the restaurants on their list, we also would recommend 'La Fiaschetta' which is nearby with an elevated trattoria menu (salmon with a pistachio crust, filet de manzo(steak) and the spaghetti alla vongole were exceptional) and 'Barnum' which has a Greenwich Village coffee shop vibe for a great lunch or breakfast. The apartment also has a terrace which is a beautiful spot for drinks overlooking Campo di Fiori. There are some steps to access the flat so if that's an issue you may want to look elsewhere, otherwise we highly recommend this apartment and hope to stay here again if we return to Rome!"

  • Great apartment in the best neighborhood

"My wife and I and our friend shared the Daedalus apartment. One bathroom was en suite with our bedroom, and the 2nd bathroom was essentially the same, as it is down a hall adjacent to the second bedroom. This room arrangement afforded a lot more privacy than we expected. The main room provided plenty of space for our rather long stay in Rome. The kitchen provided what we needed--the microwave was a nice addition, as was the Nespresso coffee maker. The Daedulus apartment faces a side street and there is a lot of natural light. The washer is small but works like a charm, and it was useful to have heated towel racks in the bathrooms for drying clothes ( few apartments in Rome have clothes dryers). As our stay was over a month, Giacomo provided weekly maid service, including a change of sheets and towels. This location is amazing. It might seem remote but it is NOT! A less than 10 minute walk puts you in the center of the Piazza del Polpolo, and that puts you within a short walk to the Spanish Steps. In the other direction is the Vatican. The Lepanto metro stop is 10 minutes walk away. A major bus stop is a 5 minute walk. But best of all is the Prati district and this neighborhood. You get to feel like a Roman for a while. The main shopping street Cola de Rienzo, adjacent to the apartment building, is wonderful. Real Romans far out number tourists in this part of town. Grocery stores, a market, cafes and restaurants are everywhere. Last year we stayed very near the Piazza Barberini, thinking that location would be more central and convenient to see the sights of Rome. We found the Daedulus apartment to be much better located. The neighborhood is safe, busy without being crowded, upscale, and full of amenities. Giacomo could not have been more helpful; the building has a concierge and it is a really lovely well maintained building. The Daedulus was a great place to "call home" while we were in Rome, a great value, and we can't wait to return. Recommended!"

  • Nice apartment at good location

"We spend 4 nights with 6 people in this lovely apartment situated in an old Roman building on the first floor. It's located on walking distance from the mean railway- and Metrostation 'Termini" and there is a bus stop (line 492) in front of the apartment. The bedrooms are very spacey, but the kitchen is a bit too narrow for 6 people. Unfortunally there's no living room so when you want to sit down together, you have to sit at the kitchen table. The owner is very kind and helpful, the mail-contact is pleasant. In the apartment is a map with suggestions for booking tickets, where to have meals and drinks, location for supermarket, etc. When you want to see the Roman highlights, it's nice to go with a bike-trip (BAJA bikes) with a guide in your own language. Visiting the Vatican Museum or the Colosseum is advised also with a guide, or eventually with a video-guide. In Travestere we found an nice pizzeria called L’Insalata Ricca, Via Giulio Santini 12, Roma, 00153."
