  • A Fantastic House in a brilliant location

"We were lucky enough to spend a week in this beautiful house. We were met by Tony & Caroline and given a full tour of the house and handy hints for staying in the area. The house is fabulous, well equipped and comfortable. The pool was a welcome respite from visiting the sights around and generally chilling. We used the BBQ facilities and enjoyed some of the produce from the garden. During our stay we visited Tivoli and enjoyed both Hadrians villa and Villa d'Este. Very hot visiting in August, take plenty fluids! We also had a lovely ride out to Rocchette which is a magical village. We also were lucky enough to have an overnight stay in Rome. We travelled by train from Stimigliano- very safe to leave car at the train station overnight. We booked tickets for the train on line and it was so easy and cheap! We ate out at a popular restaurant Da Lina -amazing pizzas! All of us had the most amazing time and would highly recommend anyone visiting the area to stay at this house. We know that we will definitely be returning. Thank you Tony & Caroline Lynne, Andrew, Joe & Dan Westhead & Mags"

  • Great place to stay just outside of Rome

"The apartment was exactly as described. Fabio met us at the property and showed us everything and how to operate them. The best thing was that there were heaters and he didn't tell us we had to restrict our use of them. Being from a very warm climate in the US, being in a cold country and told you can't use the heat is pretty disturbing. But Fabio told us to just turn it up to whatever we wanted to. So when we left to go out for the day, we made sure to turn it off while we were gone, so not to waste the gas. This did lead to one problem, as somehow we turned it off completely and couldn't get it to turn back on. We had to call Fabio late on a Sunday night, but he showed up and fixed it within just a few minutes of being there and all was well. Great customer service. It seemed to me that whoever set this apartment up set it up as if they where going to be there themselves, it had all the little things that some others did not have, those little touches that make it comfortable, those things you have at home but forget to take when you travel. The bed was comfortable we slept very well. The property was clean and well maintained. The construction is apparently quite good as well, we just rolled with the earthquake that rocked the country at 6.6 on the riker scale. I would recommend this property, especially for couples. It is close to Rome by train or car. The only drawback is that the last train back is early (11:00 PM) so you have to get a cab from the station (I think it was around 30E). Driving in Rome is a treat all it's own, parking yet another one!! We just parked and hoped for the best. We didn't get a ticket in Rome, but we did in Florence. That was the only problem because Rome is open late, you don't want to leave. To have to catch that 11:00 PM train makes you feel like you are missing part of your time there and the parking issue is just that an issue. The apartment is great though. The drive to the airport was not long from there either, less than an hour. Thank goodness for that as, we thought our plane took off at 10:00 AM but found out at 5:30 AM that it took off at 8:30 AM and had to take off out of there over an hour earlier than we had planned to. Sorry for the mess we left Fabio. Thanks for a great place to stay. I would stay there again."

  • Wonderful location & property with views to die for.

"The property is everything that Jeannette has listed in her discriprion and more. The location is very rural and peaceful with great views across a valley. Located between some lovely villages you have a number of choices to eat and just soak in the atmosphere. The pool area is well laid out with shaded area if you need it and the pool was well maintained, a great place to watch the sunset. The property was very clean and well laid out with everything you would need for a self catering holiday. I would throughly recommend staying here and we had a fantastic family holiday. Thank you Jeannette and Francesco for a lovely welcome."
