  • Outstanding Living in Rome

"The location is perfect, only blocks away from Rome Ostiense Train Station with direct connections to Fiumicino. A Coop grocery store at the station provides a perfect spot for the initial food and beverage purchases, especially convenient if arriving later in the day. Apartment is very clean and outfitted with comfortable seating for meals and relaxation; cozy beds; and plenty of lighting and storage. The kitchen is full remodeled with new appliances and plenty of pots, pans, and utensils to make a wide array of dishes. We cooked at 'home' nearly every evening after touring all day long. Lots of windows provide natural light and views outside to gardens and sky. The neighborhood is close to the Aurelian walls which one can follow toward the Baths of Caracalla only minutes from the apartment. Although we had never spent much time on the Metro, with the Piramide Station so close, we saved a lot of time getting to various city locations, and then walking leisurely back to our 'home' in Rome. Local bakeries, cafes, fruit stands, and markets are within easy slow walking distance. Don't miss the Mercato di Campagna Amica del Circo Massimo on Saturdays and Sundays! We came to know the neighborhood quickly and felt comfortable and safe. Our host not only greeted us, but made sure we knew all about store closures during the holiday season, something we had not adequately anticipated. I would definitely recommend this location and I intend to return, again, as soon as I can. (:"

  • Few small details would make this a 5 star apartment

"Marco was great to deal with via email. Very quick to respond to everything with care. The apartment is one of the best /i have stayed in, super clean and well decorated and spacious due to high vaulted ceilings. Really good beds. We were there in November but I can tell that it would be good in summer because every room has an air conditioner (and a heater for this time of year). Great neighbourhood, just a 15 minute walk to Trastevere and 20 minutes to Coloseum. Good grocery store nearby and some real gems like Volpetis. Kitchen well equipped though no microwave and no large frying pan. The little things that could improve would be to have more basic things like salt and pepper in the shakers, paper towels, a bit of coffee...a few dried spices and very important ...a decent chefs knife. |Of course we could buy such things but if you are on a three week trip and staying in 6 places, that's a lot of wasted time and money if each apartment is like that. And since we had to pay cash 28 euros daily tax for 2 people staying 4 days it would be nice if the person who met you had money to give you change. /in fact, the person who met us, when we called from the airport, made a one hour error on the time to meet us at the apartment because the office clock was off by an hour ....if /i had not been very specific and asked to confirm the current time we would have had a problem as we would have showed up an hour late. /So I think Marco should make sure his staff is as professional as he is and he will then have a 5 star apartment."

  • Great apartment in a great neighborhood!

"Stefano's apartment is very comfortable, with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. It even has a small balcony for morning coffee! Testaccio is a wonderful neighborhood. Close enough to the tourist sites, but not "touristy." I would definitely stay in this apartment again!"
