  • Rome for the month of June 2016--Excellent Location

"My son & I visited Rome June 2016. 2 friends joined us for the 1st 2 weeks, so Fernando's apartment was just the right size. Nice kitchen, living rm, dining rm, & large bedrm with a very comfortable queen bed on the main floor. 3 of these rooms have "lofts" built above them (each with a spiral stairs for access). One "loft" room (above dining rm) has a queen size bed + a full bathrm & small side room with a chair that pulls out to a single bed. Another "loft" room (above living rm) has a twin bed. The third "loft" room (above large bedrm) just has a portable crib, so not really set up for anything except a young child. We also had a washer & clothes line for a dryer. My son wasn't thrilled about hanging clothes out to dry but it brought back fond memories for me. The internet was good. It seemed to drop the connection periodically but it was never an issue. Note: I was able to watch TV (Dish Anywhere) on my tablet whenever I wanted, an indication of how good the speed was. The air conditioning was excellent. 3 individual units (each with its own control) let us set the temperature somewhat differently for each area making it nice for my son who likes his room cold. It was also nice to open the windows and get a wonderful cross-breeze. My local contact was Alessandro?, not Fernando, & he was very responsive & accommodating to any questions we had & he made a special trip back to the apartment to give us a demo on lighting the gas oven when we needed help. I loved the large sized bath towels & appreciated the kitchen items available on day one: salt, pepper, basic spices, oil, vinegar, sugar, coffee. Very convenient The absolute best thing about the apartment is its location since the most important things we wanted/needed were within a 3 to 5 minute walk: the Colosseo, Arch of Constantine, Forum, wonderful churches (San Clemente, San Giovanni in Laterano, San Giovanni e Paolo, San Gregorio Magno) + several bus stops, a tram, the Metro, a taxi stop, grocery store (very small), and good restaurants + gelato shops. A balcony with a view would have made it perfect! The negatives are more "expectation" issues than anything else. The worst for me was the TINY shower. Bending over to get the shampoo was NOT possible. With no shelf in the shower, I had to be creative. + the upstairs bathroom had a slight odor. Then there are the steps: 83 steps up to the apartment. Since I averaged 6 miles walking per day, those steps were daunting at day's end! :-)"

  • Perfect studio in Monti

"This studio was perfect for a month's stay in Rome. It is situated inbetween two subway stops, near a supermarket, and in the hip district of Monti which has great bars, stores, restaurants, and cafes. All of these factors made it easy to jump from tourist site to tourist sit, cook at home, or just cool off from the heat in the AC. he owner and her staff are extremely kind, helpful, and make you feel at home no matter how long you stay, as I have stayed with them before. I highly recommend the studio to anyone and plan on using it for my business/personal stays every year."

  • great host, excellent location, beautiful property

"I have stayed in different parts of Rome bofore but never in Monti, and I must say that I fell in love with the area. Beautiful building, excellent central, but quiet location and a wonderful terrace where we had breakfast with a view! I loved the attention to detail, things like maps, a computer to send an email, even coffee an olive oil were all there, the shower was wonderfully renovated and I loved the state-of-art wooden floors. The host is lovely! I would very much recommend this to anyone looking to spend some romantic/family time in Rome. We parked our car in Borghese parking (18Euro for 24 hours) and enjoyed walking around the city. Will be back again!"

  • Best host and hostess

"Natalia and Walter organized our pick up at airport and met us at their renta. They were extremely helpful and provided us with maps, directions to the metro, sights to see a cell phone in case we needed them and an amazing selection of restaurant recommendations which we took and were never disappointed. Natalia and Walter set the tone for our vacation as Rome was our first stop, they set the bar very high and we so appreciated their personal touch. The accommodations are just as pictured, clean, comfortable and well appointed. The air conditioning was a bonus! I would highly recommend this rental to any travelers going to Rome. The location is perfect too!!"
