  • Convenient to all things Roman

"Host: was fantastic and super-accommodating. She met us at the apartment and gave us bus routes to all major locations and instructions for buying bus tickets. (Buy the 24 or 72 ticket. You'll use it and it gives you unlimited on and offs) Location: This apartment was well appointed and close to the Vatican (a 10-15 min walk or 5 minute bus ride). I was surprised by the insane number of tourists in Rome during the first week of march which is supposed to be the off season. This apartment offered respite from the insanity of the crowds. You can easily get to the Coloseum on bus 70 (40 min) or within minutes on the metro (which we avoided so we could really see the city. ) Getting there: Pascale arranged a driver from the airport, which I highly recommend, so you don't have to worry about valuables when you are jet lagged. The shuttle was only about 10€ more than having to do metro to bus for 3 of us. If there were 4 of us it would have been about the same price. So don't save money on this. Kitchen: The apartment has a well appointed kitchen to be able to fully cook meals. (For my American friends, their is not a microwave but the oven and stove do the trick. Most take out is sent in aluminum containers so this is perfect for the oven. ) Safety: The area feels like you are in the city but is VERY safe even late at night. The one draw back is getting on the city's schedule. It is very loud if you are not accustomed to living in a city apartment. Between street noise, jack hammers and neighbors I wished I had ear plugs. I do think this will be amplified the closer you move to the tourist areas. I mention this because it was unfamiliar to me. I am coming from Texas where we are a bit more spread out. Food: check out Chicci around the corner toward the right, next to the organic grocery market. They have a fantastic paninis and organic juices made on the spot. Francesca is a Roman who loves surfing and she co-owns the place. Our other favorite was Vino Bono very close by. Don't go before 7 and try to make a reservation. This quaint 12 table restaurant had amazing squid, tuna and of course pastas and more. Prices were fantastic and the quality was 5 star. There were no tourists here. Which for me is a mark of legitimacy. For something in town, try Roscolio if you are in that area. Aside from their main location, down a small side street around the corner they have a takeout bakery and market. It's amazing. Try their chicken with olives and peppers"

  • Great apartment and location

"We are a family of 4 and stayed 3 nights. The management company, Home in Rome, was excellent. They helped on arrival find a location nearby to store our luggage and did a thorough walk thru of the apartment and neighborhood upon arrival, very professional. The apartment was perfect for our needs with the bedrooms, kitchen, rollout sofa and study nicely laid out for privacy. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed the Nespresso machine daily. Location was great, one block from the metro and quick walk to the Vatican. All in all a great experience!"

  • Excellent in all respects

"Andrea is the type of Owner you can only dream to rent from. The penthouse is located in a very safe location of Rome very close to the Vatican with a nice selection of nearby restaurants. The interior is nicely decorated with fast WiFi and a large patio with an outstanding view of Rome. Daily, we would walk to the Vatican entrance and catch the walk-on/walk-off red bus touring the city and at night with our cocktails on the patio. Thank you to you!"
