  • Awesome apartment near the river.

"Wonderful apartment in the Trastevere area, with lots of great food, nice locals, and close to all the monuments. We are in our 50s and 40s, and we're able to walk to all the sites in Rome within a 1/2 an hour. The unit has a very large bathtub, which was wonderful for soaking after all the walking. The only thing that would have been better, would be a longer bed, but as I am 6'6" (198+cm), I don't consider this a fault of the apartment. I run into it almost everywhere I go."

  • Amazing location!

"You can walk to everything from here. A quiet little street tucked in from busy areas so not noisy. Travelled as family of 4 with an 11 and 16 year old. Laura booked a taxi for us from airport (highly recommend) and her host was waiting for us upon arrival. Anything you need is very close, and all the major sites in any direction are at most 20 min walk away. Can't really beat the location. Loved Rome!"

  • at home in rome---a dream come true

"the beautiful city of rome feels like home when you meet at this apt---a tiny street very near the pantheon and piazza navona---open the huge wooden door, step into the inner area with iron gate, view the huge urn behind, pass the marble steps and go up in the walnut paneled elevatio---then the door opens to the apt and all is bright and spacious and with the 2 terraces and 1 balcony you have fabulous views---our favorite is sunset over the pantheon and st peters---the baths and bedrooms are lovely and the kit-dr-lr area invites you to relax and enjoy rome---you can walk almost anywhere you want to visit---most days we start in a cab and then enjoy the beautiful walk back that gives you a chance to really have the chance to feel how rome looks and lives. every day we found this apartment to be a dream come true---this is our 2nd stay and we want to return next year---"

  • On top of Rome's Historic District

"La Torreta is a real find. The apartment is on top of the Choistro del Bramante. It is a quiet and wonderful location. A short block away is Piazza Navona. It is an easy walk to all the sites including the Vatican, Castello Sant Angello, Pantheon, Trevi and the Forum. The challenge is to keep under 20,000 steps because of ease of access. The apartment is clean, bright, and has excellent internet access. The two bedrooms are comfortable and roomy for Italy. The 'kitchen' is behind doors under the stairs leading to the roof top sun room and patio. It is compact but served our needs for breakfast and light dinners. There are many Osteria, Trattoria and even a award winning gellato close. With so much great food so close, we did not cook dinners. The support from the staff in the art gallery/museum was excellent. The arrangements for transport to and from the Rome airport were perfect. The evenings in the sun room or on the patio, listening to the church bells, watching the sea gulls and murmurations of the starlings made the location very special. This was a special site for the 4 adults in our group. It is definitely on our list of favorite VRBO/HomeAway sites. My only caution is that there are stairs to the apartment (elevator to one floor below during gallery hours) and within the apartment. We found them part of the joy, but they could be a negative for someone with mobility issues."
