  • Great location in Trastevere. Within a 20 min walk to all major sites.

"We stayed at Romantic Old Roman House for one month. Very well appointed with everything one could need. The apartment is perfect for a couple. The bathroom is small but extremely functional. A large great room with a very nice kitchen. Double doors leading out to a large shared courtyard that has clothesline to hang your wash. An amazing French boulangerie right next door. It's the perfect location in active Trastevere."

  • Expat new to Southern Italy

"Fantastic apartment from which to explore Rome! Very comfortable with lots of charm and plenty of space to spread out. Great location in Trastevere you can get to everything right away and you are smack dab in the center of great food and bars, be sure to visit Enoteca Ferrara just down the street. Very easy check in/out with Emanuele. The ceilings in the bath and the kitchen are low but all things considered....We'll definitely be back."

  • Modern resource in ancient Rome

"The ad in VRBO misses the boat! This property is the jewel of Rome. After cruising the apartment sites for months my wife chanced on this property and we booked it ASAP. Difficult to comprehend what is for rent by the photos and the title. We rented the 2 bedroom unit, unrelated to the studio and loft owned by the same people. The concierge service that Fabio provides is remarkable! We stayed for 3 weeks because Rome famous for hosting pilgrims. And our host was discreetly available but completely the splendid "Man Friday" for every need We speak Italian. His English better than our Italian Day trips , special car services, shopping, destination advices all superlative. The apartment is new and spotless Fantastic resource of modern heat/AC pump and we used both in the oddball October weather. They gave us weekly free cleaning too Kitchen perfectly adequate. We had a one year old and 2 1/2 year old: safe and sound in the 2nd BR (tight if you elect to use the LR futon). One flight up, with lift to 4 steps up, and 4 steps to lift. Fabio organized the crib for no added fee. (High chair extra) But it is location x 3. Quiet at night but so much in central Rome we walked and low fee taxied - we were 4 with kids - although buses and trolley served us beautifully too. Walk to Forum, ghetto, Vatican, Navonna, great local restaurants, boutiques, not to far to walk to Rinascenti department store, And each outing is a walk along the Tiber! Carrefour supermarket 3 blocks away, hardware, spa, opera lyrica, cinema, children's theater - nothing missing except a playground we needed: The Sisters of St. Cecilia at our back entrance forgave our little ones: enjoying their rose garden, grass and fountain in the medieval now renaissance cloister. And the Pia Mercanti restaurant (you cannot hear at night-Yiu face away) has singing and music as a delightful plus - a pleasant magnet for Italian tourists and Romans, too My only regret? By praising it correctly like this it will be booked and unavailable the next time we want to visit!"

  • Family stay in Rome before going on to a Tuscan wedding

"Our stay from September 21 through September 24 was just perfect - at least after some initial confusion with the limo service arrangement by the owner (and subsequently overpriced taxi ride). The property was very clean and modern. The bedrooms were all well-sized and appointed. There was not much space for gathering, but truly, we would not have wanted to spend much time in the apartment in any event. Rome was right outside the door! The location could not have been better. Just one block from the Tiber, it was easy to get to any location in the city by walking along the river and crossing to different neighborhoods or attractions by crossing the appropriate bridges. Trastevere itself is a bit like the West Village in NYC. So fabulous! We would definitely stay here again if the opportunity presents."
