  • Great place to stay just outside of Rome

"The apartment was exactly as described. Fabio met us at the property and showed us everything and how to operate them. The best thing was that there were heaters and he didn't tell us we had to restrict our use of them. Being from a very warm climate in the US, being in a cold country and told you can't use the heat is pretty disturbing. But Fabio told us to just turn it up to whatever we wanted to. So when we left to go out for the day, we made sure to turn it off while we were gone, so not to waste the gas. This did lead to one problem, as somehow we turned it off completely and couldn't get it to turn back on. We had to call Fabio late on a Sunday night, but he showed up and fixed it within just a few minutes of being there and all was well. Great customer service. It seemed to me that whoever set this apartment up set it up as if they where going to be there themselves, it had all the little things that some others did not have, those little touches that make it comfortable, those things you have at home but forget to take when you travel. The bed was comfortable we slept very well. The property was clean and well maintained. The construction is apparently quite good as well, we just rolled with the earthquake that rocked the country at 6.6 on the riker scale. I would recommend this property, especially for couples. It is close to Rome by train or car. The only drawback is that the last train back is early (11:00 PM) so you have to get a cab from the station (I think it was around 30E). Driving in Rome is a treat all it's own, parking yet another one!! We just parked and hoped for the best. We didn't get a ticket in Rome, but we did in Florence. That was the only problem because Rome is open late, you don't want to leave. To have to catch that 11:00 PM train makes you feel like you are missing part of your time there and the parking issue is just that an issue. The apartment is great though. The drive to the airport was not long from there either, less than an hour. Thank goodness for that as, we thought our plane took off at 10:00 AM but found out at 5:30 AM that it took off at 8:30 AM and had to take off out of there over an hour earlier than we had planned to. Sorry for the mess we left Fabio. Thanks for a great place to stay. I would stay there again."

  • La meglia accoglienza di Roma

"Ho soggiornato sette giorni. La stanza pulitissima, tutto nuovo,la colazione molto buona, posizione non c'è meglia, vicino al centro storico, la metro, ristorante, mercato. La accoglienza della famiglia Criscione eccelente. L'anno scorso ho soggiornato in questo appartamento ed anche quest'anno. E quando penso di andare a Roma c'è un posto: BB Ginester. Ringrazio più una volta a signora Antonietta e tutta la sua famiglia.(Stefano e Francesco) Marzio Guerra e Giuliana"

  • Service, comfort, location

"We spent almost a week in mid-December 2016 in this comfortable apartment in Rome, which has all the necessary living amenities and good AC/heating and hot water. It's location makes i ideal for exploring may sites on foot, such as he Vatican, Trastevere, historic piazzas, the Pantheon and shopping on via del Cosro and adjacent streets. Eating out in Rome can be a little disappointing because cost does not usually reflect the value, in my opinion. So, we "acted as Romans", and did our shopping for high quality fresh meats, fruit/veg, pastas, cheeses, bread, wine etc., at a local supermarket (Conad on Viale di Terastevere; 15 min walk) where for 40 euros the three of us (my wife, son and I) ate breakfast and dinner "at home" like kings. But most of the praise goes to Giorgio, our host, who did everything to make our stay as smooth as possible. First, he arranged for taxi service from and to the airport; much appreciated after a long flight. Then, he explained how all appliances worked. But our appreciation and thanks need to be expressed for the fact that Giorgio located the watch our son had left int he apartment and sent it to us via registered mail! Thank you Giorgio! Your property will be our first choice in our next trip to Rome."
