  • Perfect place in Rome!

"My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this rental! The location was perfect with the Coliseum, the Metro stop and a variety of restaurants, grocery stores and other shops a few steps away. The building was very quiet, but it was also wonderful to open the windows at night and listen to the friendly local sounds of the nearby restaurants. The apartments was spotless and had everything we could want for a home away from home. The graciousness of the hosts went far above what was necessary. They made sure all details were taken care of, and helped with suggestions for restaurants, tourist sites, and even made sure we traveled back to the airport safely. We felt welcomed as family. We would highly recommend this rental for others staying in Rome. Mary and Ed Crompton"

  • Good apartment with pool

"Overall we were very satisfied with this apartment. We had 2 adults and three teenage kids staying for one week. It's part of a large residential complex, with secure gates and plenty of car parking space should you need it (we didn't). There is a great pool - almost 20m long and not busy. The apartment was very clean and the appliances that we used worked well, including the air-conditioning which we needed. It is also very quiet. However, the wifi is not good, so do not rely on that. The apartment is quite well located. You do have to walk at least 10-15mins to get to a shop/supermarket of any significance, however we bought travel cards (CIS) for the week we were there and eventually we worked out the best routes for the buses to get to the shops. The bus stop is just outside the apartment complex and there are several buses - so we never had to wait long. To get into the cente of town you do generally need 2 bus journeys or one bus jurney plus one metro journey - is it would normally take at least 30-40mins+ to get into centre of Rome. However the travelling can be viewed as all part of the fun and Rome experience, so we didn't mind that. One bus (10min journey) does take you to within 5min walk of St Peter's Basilica (which was probably the highlight of our trip to Rome). One thing we did notice is that Italian rented properties expect you to take away your rubbish at the end of the rental (i.e. leave out in appropriate bins). We would have thought that this would hae been done by those cleaning the apartment (as in most other countires) - but apparently not! We also would have preferred to pay for the rental fully by credit card, however we paid 50% by card and 50% by cash. Not a big problem but payment by card only would have been more conveniennet for us. Anna Merita's husband kindly met us at 10.30pm - as we had a late arrival and this was no problem for an extra €20 fee, plus they threw in a free bottle of wine at the end. Overall we were very pleased with the apartment and would be happy to recommend it - especially if you are looking for a pool to cool down in!"

  • Excellent place to experience romantic Italy!

"If you are looking for a place to break away from your busy life, just to enjoy some peace and quite - this is the place to go! We have very much enjoyed our time at La Polverosa being simply ideal for a family of 6 (plus grandmother). It is almost like a picture postcard set-up. The house is located on a sunny and quiet site off the road, surrounded by lots of nature, with a wonderful view of the valley and the opposite Sermugnano. It offers enough space for playing and romping (for the kids) and a shady terrace overlooking the surroundings (for the parents and the grandmother). The braai (barbecue facility) is just great. The rooms are gently arranged in country house style, absolutely clean and spacious. The pool area is located about 500-800 metres away (walking distance if you don't mind the steep slope particularly on your way back). We house is the ideal starting point for daily trips to various places nearby. We highly recommend to go and experience Lake Bolsena - the water is clear and refreshing, the sun set is stunning (particularly if you have dinner at Montefiascone Beach) and the kids just love it. Lago di Vico is equally romantic. If you are into cycling or hiking, the area offers so many things to do ... it is so good to see that tourism is being developed sustainably and gently. In brief, we will definitely try and come back again ... Baie baie dankie!!!"
