  • Fantastic Cinque Terra Hidden Gem

"The beautiful pictures of this home can not convey how stunning it all is. It is just breath taking in both design, comfort and location. Paula has decorated the home with everything you could possible think of and all with a fresh artistic flair. Everything is so new, clean and well stocked. The home is very comfortable. Beyond that however, is the wonderful location of the home. It isn't an easy walk to downtown Levanto....you will need to drive to get there....but it is a short drive. The location is tucked away just outside the town on a fantastic country property. The gardens of the home, the setting of the home in the gorgeous hills of Levanto are just amazing. It is a great respite from the busy and touristy villages of the Cinque Terra. We enjoyed walking around the environs of the Villa, sitting out in the gardens in the evenings after a day of sight seeing and appreciating the meals we made with the gifts of the property.....fresh eggs, peas, and wines that Paula offers. Angelo is a native of the area and has much to share about the history of it. You feel like you are visiting with locals when you stay here. This lovely home and the graciousness of Angelo and Paula was the highlight of our trip to Italy. All of the good reviews others have stated about this location are all true and more."

  • Spacious, historic home with a fantastic view

"We recently returned from a fantastic 6 night stay at Casa Chiara in Monterosso. Our group of 5 spent a lot of time sitting out on the front terrace enjoying the views and activities of the village below. The house is big enough for 6 people easily, with all of the bedrooms being very spacious and the kitchen providing more than enough of the essentials for groups much larger in size. The house was very clean, and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay, including laundry detergent, kitchen staples and beach towels – it felt like home. As others have stated Danielle was great to work with and was a very welcome sight at the train station upon arrival (she also assisted with our bags up the hill); on the way to the house she pointed out a few of her favorite restaurants and grocery stores in Monterosso, and the ones we tried were first rate (we didn’t try all of them because we found a couple of them to be so good we didn’t want to try anything new!). During our stay at Monterosso we visited the other four fishing villages and unanimously were very happy with our decision to stay in Monterosso as it provided a little more variety in all things (restaurants, accommodation and shops) than the other much smaller towns lacked – including space for all of the day trippers! We will definitely come back to Monterosso one day and if it is available would stay at Casa Chiara again without any hesitation."
