  • Spacious, historic home with a fantastic view

"We recently returned from a fantastic 6 night stay at Casa Chiara in Monterosso. Our group of 5 spent a lot of time sitting out on the front terrace enjoying the views and activities of the village below. The house is big enough for 6 people easily, with all of the bedrooms being very spacious and the kitchen providing more than enough of the essentials for groups much larger in size. The house was very clean, and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay, including laundry detergent, kitchen staples and beach towels – it felt like home. As others have stated Danielle was great to work with and was a very welcome sight at the train station upon arrival (she also assisted with our bags up the hill); on the way to the house she pointed out a few of her favorite restaurants and grocery stores in Monterosso, and the ones we tried were first rate (we didn’t try all of them because we found a couple of them to be so good we didn’t want to try anything new!). During our stay at Monterosso we visited the other four fishing villages and unanimously were very happy with our decision to stay in Monterosso as it provided a little more variety in all things (restaurants, accommodation and shops) than the other much smaller towns lacked – including space for all of the day trippers! We will definitely come back to Monterosso one day and if it is available would stay at Casa Chiara again without any hesitation."

  • Perfect Cinque Terre Location

"This lovely apartment provides a very comfortable setting from which to explore the Cinque Terre area. Conveniently located only a few steps from the village, with restaurants and groceries, and close to the train station, it is a perfect "home base" from which to visit this beautiful area. The bedrooms are quite comfortable and the kitchen and living room provide enough space to prepare meals. All rooms had been meticulously cleaned and were well-supplied with linens, towels, and various supplies. The best part of this apartment, however, is the roof-top terrace with a comfortable area to sit, relax, and enjoy spectacular views of the ocean and surrounding hills. We had a wonderful time relaxing with coffee in the morning and again in the evening talking about our day over wine, cheeses and other delicacies purchased in the local stores. Our stay here was truly a highlight of our trip to Italy!"
