  • Un bon moment à Bellagio

"Appartement sympa et une propriétaire très gentille . Un seul bémol , le manque de casseroles adapte à une utilisation quotidienne . Sinon tout le reste était parfait ."

  • A beautiful peaceful location

"The apartment was exactly as described, cleverly designed with the bedrooms and bathrooms downstairs and the large living room and kitchen on the ground floor with plenty of French window access on to the expansive grounds from which you have the most beautiful views of lake and mountains. We ate outside every day, and particularly enjoyed the privacy of the large garden. The children loved the pool, which was, like all the complex, kept clean and immaculate. It was very easy to walk down to the lake although quite steep on the return. It probably takes longer by car!! Matteo met as as arranged as was very helpful and kind. Our only slight problem was that the the kitchen could do with a better selection of sharp knives including a bread knife. We all got bitten but accept that as part of nature, so like us, take precautions. A wonderful week enjoyed by 3 generations of our family. We loved exploring the lake, restaurants and ice cream."

  • Romance and Discovery on the Shores of Lake Como

"From the moment of our arrival to the final wave "arrivederci", our visit to the Lake Como Beach Resort was delightful. Having never been to LCBR, we were a little unsure of the exact location (in spite of extensive "Google Maps-Street View" explorations) and our driver was at a loss, too. Thanks to our Verizon International Travel Plan we were able to reach Eric, our host, who dropped what he was doing to assist us, jet-lagged and delirious... He grabbed our luggage and trundled us off to La Meridiana, a local trattoria, for lunch. Then we repaired to our lovely Villetta #5, "Vista Lago". Ahhh... uncorked the red wine and sat back to soak in the afternoon sun beaming onto our private second-floor balcony. That night, we were awakened by brilliant moonlight streaming in the bedroom's French doors, diamonds dancing across the lake, the little village on the other side providing its own spray of twinkling lights.... could this scene be more perfect, more romantic? Poets die for inspiration like this! The local market, run by Vincenzo and Luisa is a 15 minute hike via elevator and stairs, try the gnocchi, the assorted salumi, cheeses and wines. Fresh bread every morning... get there early for best selection... Luca will deliver your groceries if you ask, minimal charge, perhaps only a tip... Peppo's Bar, across from the Gastronomica, offers decent fare and an assortment of beverages: teas, coffees, beer, wine and spirits, accompanied by a panoramic view of the lake. (The bus stops there, too. About every 1/2 hour along the lake road to Como, one way, Bellagio the other.) We took the ferry on 3 separate days to Bellagio, Varenna, Menagio, Lenno... charming villages, all. It was mid-October and the crowds were diminished from summer levels. The ferry is just 5 minutes from the Villettas along the lake front walkway. Catch the ferry: 11:08 AM, pay on board. Best value: multi-day pass. Recommend: Enoteca Cava Turacciolo, Bellagio... Ristorante Vapore, Torno... Il Pomadorino, Como, and a tour of Villa Balbianello! Blessed by a rainy day? There's a fine selection of movies and books in the resort lobby and beverages for sale. Come and go at your own leisure, Eric and Robin are your resource for problem solving and, while being available, they're not omnipresent. Once you meet them, though, you'll want to hang out with them constantly! Seriously, they're that nice and that much fun! We loved our visit and eagerly anticipate our return!"
