  • Superb villa in lovely countryside, 5 mins from beach

"Just returned from a very relaxing stay in this villa . Nothing was too much trouble for Pasquale who met us on arrival and gave us great recommendations of beaches to visit and restaurants to go to. We hired a car to pick up at the airport through Thrifty. They were very efficient and we got a very nice almost new family car. The villa was very clean and tidy upon arrival. The garden of the villa is well maintained. There is a large patio with furniture and a pool with plenty of sun loungers. There is also a BBQ and plenty of outdoor space with both sun and shaded areas. The view from the patio looks down over fields and hills. The villa was also fully air conditioned. The car was essential. Although it is only a 5 minutes walk to the beach and 15 minute walk into Budoni. There are plenty of beautiful beaches within a 5 minute drive. Most beaches have a bar/restaurant. We were lucky enough to spend a day on a yacht which Pasquale helped to arrange for us. Sailing along the coast and stopping to swim. Sardinia is such a beautiful island a wonderful place to relax and unwind."

  • Fantastic location

"We had a wonderful holiday in Sardinia. Gabriella and her friend Liviana were most welcoming and helpful. It was lovely to meet them both and have the reassurance that someone was on hand to help if needed (we didn't need to call them during our stay). Gabriella provided us with some welcome treats such as wine coffee and cakes (always a winner with our family!). We chose the accommodation to suit our family - two adults and three teenage boys and it was perfect for us. We had such fantastic weather that we were outside much of the time, although there was space indoors for everyone to chill out to escape the midday sun.The property we found as described. The trees and plants on the estate were in full bloom and well looked after making it a really pretty place to stay. All the properties were built using natural materials. It is just a short walk down to the beach. And what a beach - the sea really is that turquoise colour and a good temperature for swimming and cooling down. On the beach you can hire loungers (but we didn't), also motor boats, pedalos and kayaks. One morning we hired a pedalo and travelled to the island in the bay and I swam back to shore. We enjoyed having the bars and cafes on the Villagio Est site (for Euro 2016 viewing!) just a short stroll away. We had meals out in each of the three restaurants and enjoyed ice creams and cocktails there too. We also made good use of the swimming pool. The whole site was not over busy at this time of year and there was always space at the pool. We also chose this location as it was convenient for the dive centre Aquarius which two boys booked up with. They had a fab time diving. We hired a car at Olbia airport which is a short distance away (30-40 minutes) and it was straightforward to travel to Capo Coda Cavallo. We visited Cala Gonone on one day (long drive 1-2 hours) and hired a motor boat to visit all the coves and beaches that are inaccessible by land. This was a great day out. One day we drove to the north of the Island to visit the Costa Esmeralda and Capo Testa as well as some inland areas including giant olive trees and Nuraghe (ancient ruins) where we saw a bat colony. The other places we visited were much more local: Brandinchi and Lu Impostu beaches which were also beautiful with crystal clear water. Altogether a fantastic week's holiday. Gabriella let us stay on the last day as no other guest was arriving, so we had a very relaxing last day with a late flight home. Thanks"

  • Comfortable, well equipped with a great pool!

"This was our first holiday in Sardinia and it won’t be our last! The five of us thoroughly enjoyed our 10 day stay in Malamuri. We found the ground floor apartment was as it was described...new build, three good sized double bedrooms, great showers in the two bathrooms, very well equipped kitchen and a comfortable living area but the best was the outside dining area and the fantastic pool! We booked the apartment because of the pool and were not disappointed. It is a great area for relaxing in with a cold beer, reading and cooling down after a day at the beach! The position keeps the sun until late into the afternoon, my favourite time of the day! We travelled with 3 older teenagers who all enjoyed bobbing on inflatables and 'chilling' in the pool! Its not a large pool but perfect for what we wanted. A car is essential to give the opportunity to see around the region. The property is about half an hour drive from the airport and easy to find. The local supermarket is well stocked and convenient for essentials, however, we found better value at the MD supermarkets in the local towns. If it's a beach holiday you are after, you wont be disappointed! So many to choose from. We went as far north as Baja Sardinia (we dropped the 'youngsters' at Aquadream water slide park and found some great beaches along from 'Phi' beach) and south to Santa Lucia (much quieter than Budoni, San Teodoro or Brandinchi which are all worth a visit) . Don't miss a drive out to Port Cervo to look with envy at the yachts in the harbour! However, we also enjoyed our evening visits to Porto Ottiolu only 10mins away for evening meals at harbour side restaurants. The local restaurant called Symposium serves very good food and is not expensive. Definitely worth an early visit as the bonus is it has WiFi to satisfy our teenager social media cravings! I even managed to still get a connection from there whilst sat around the apartment pool. One highlight was hiring a RIB with a 40hp outboard from Porto San Paolo. An afternoon spent swimming in the crystal clear waters off the island of Molara will be a long abiding memory. A great holiday!"
