  • A wonderful ten days at Rita's lovely apartment.

"Rita's property is a gem with a wonderful location. The property is exactly as described. The bathrooms are brand new, modern, and beautiful. The Master bedroom is huge and the beds are all comfortable. My daughter came down with the flu on our last night there and we were fortunate that this apt was available for another three nights. Rita was helpful and accommodating and wonderful to work with. There are great restaurants near by and fantastic a bistro just outside the apartment door that we used quite often for coffee and the best desserts. If you are looking for a quiet apartment this is the one. The windows all overlook courtyards so there is literally no noise. The terrace is adorable and again quiet! Clean and pretty with everything needed for a wonderful stay. We were there for ten days and would have stayed longer if we could! Rita had a taxi waiting for us upon our departure. First class all the way. Thank you Rita!!"

  • Lorenzo apartment worked very well for us!

"We stayed in the Lorenzo for 8 nights in late October 2016. The apartment is in an excellent location. A few minutes walk to the train station made it easy to take day-trips to Siena and other locations. The market across the street was an excellent source of groceries for our simple breakfasts, and was fun to explore. All the highlights of Florence were within 15 minutes walk. Two bedrooms worked just right for the 3 of us. The kitchenette was small but very adequately supplied. Olive oil, salt and pepper were provided, also laundry detergent and dish-washing soap. It was nice to have a washing machine. There was no dryer, but a folding drying rack worked fine. The owner Gabriele was very responsive to questions and we really had no problems at all. The tiny balcony was not really useful and the only area for sitting was at the table. Still, we were very happy with the Lorenzo, it was very clean, with good linens, and it served our needs very well. The price was very reasonable. I would definitely consider staying there again. One note: to reach the apartment you climb up 37 stairs, not the 26 stated in the property description. Some of the photos in the listing description were not from the Lorenzo but from other apartments. Its character is very rustic, and that is one of the things we liked about it. Gabriele provided a folder with information about the apartment, lists of nearby restaurants (there are many), and maps of the city center. We had dinner twice at the Vecchio Mercato, just a few doors down the street and found it to be very good! All in all, Gabriele was very helpful and the Lorenzo was a good place to stay."

  • We had problems checking in ...

"We had problems checking in because none of the telephone numbers we were given worked. Even out taxi driver tried the numbers on his cell phone and he confirmed they were out of service. Also we had no wireless internet. The rep offered us a dongle which didn't fit our devices. After being informed to bring a credit card to make final payment we couldn't because we had no internet and were made to pay cash for which we didn't get an official receipt. All in all decent accommodation with appalling service."

  • Nicely appointed studio in good location

"The purple suite is a nicely appointed studio apartment located in a bustling neighborhood close to many Florence attractions such as the beautiful Duomo and the Medici chapels. It is also in walking distance of the train station which was very handy for our travels. There are plenty of coffee shops, restaurants and shops nearby. The building is charming and old, with many steps to the apartment on the second floor. One thing to note is that this is a studio -- one big room separated by an attractive purple divider. There is a king sized bed behind the divider and a pull out couch in the main living space that also holds a kitchen wall and glass table for seating. We were a party of five so an additional cot was supplied. There is one bathroom which is quite modern and clean with good water pressure and heat. We received a warm welcome when we arrived and Mariangela is responsive to emails. I think this apartment is ideal for a couple or a family with one or possibly two young children."
