  • Simply breathtaking....surreal!!!!

"We were a family of 11 that occupied both villas. Unique setup with owners family villa in between our units all in one complex. Very helpful to have owners on site to answer our travel plans + navigating the local busses, trams, trains & taxis. Our flight was redirected to Pisa due to crosswinds so we were very late arriving our first night. We were greeted by their son who was very pleasant & showed us each villa + maps of where to get groceries, transportation... TOURS: Sabine (was a tour agent) gave us the name of Angelo that we arranged a couple of tours with + return transportation to the airport. TRANSPORTATION: Bus that stops right outside villa to take you downtown where you have to catch a tram to Florence &/or train to Pisa + other parts of Italy. Taxis from Florence to villa in Scandicci are scarce & pricey. If you have a rental vehicle then it may make getting groceries at Mega COOP store easier; gated parking at the villa. ACCOMMODATION: Both villas were very clean & well appointed. Grounds were beautiful with abundant flowers, olive grove....just like the photos. What sold us on this villa was the absolutely breathtaking view of Florence & Tuscan countryside below. Huge pool was very clean but unfortunately the sun didn't cooperate for too many refreshing dips. However the hot tub was thoroughly enjoyed after long days of site seeing. Any concerns with wifi, heating hot tub were quickly addressed. LOCAL FEATURES/RESTAURANTS: General store at San Martino alla Palma about a 15 min walk had a lovely selection of fresh foods, deli & produce. About 5 min walk was Cantina Torrigiani where we found a good selection of red & white wines + oil oil at a very reasonable price. Poggio il Masseto Pizzeria about a 15-20 min walk uphill had great pizza. Claudio suggested a tremendous restaurant Fiore further up hillside. He was kind enough to make 3 separate trips to chauffeur all 11 of us to & from the restaurant. Lovely way to spend out last evening in Italy! (see trip advisor for restaurant reviews) OVERALL: I would definitely recommend this lovely villa run by this very accommodating Italian family. Claudio was very prompt at replying to email requests & included lots of useful information. Payment went very smoothly. Many wonderful memories were created here by our group of 11 (6 Canadian & 5 British cousins). At the end of a busy day it was nice to retreat to the peace & tranquility of our hillside villa."

  • Florence Villa Stay

"Beautiful view, just like the picture. Giuliana was a fantastic hostess. She had stocked the refrigerator with milk, juice, butter and drinks. On the table was a bottle of wine and fresh fruit. Kitchen was stocked with coffee and tea. Also plenty of cookware if you want to cook. Giuliana helped us with making our reservations for train trips and reserved a taxi for us. Could not have been nicer or more helpful. Plenty of room with separate living area and kitchen. Bedroom was large and comfortable. Nice bathroom. All was very clean and nice."

  • Perfect Location

"We stayed in Casa San Vito in mid-September for a week. We were welcomed by Mama who spoke no English, but somehow she taught us to use the washing machine, the dishwasher, the rolling screens, the oven, and the stove. She then made us an espresso so we could learn to use the espresso maker. It got even better after that! The house sits on a hill in the country with amazing views in all directions. Only a few minutes and an easy bus ride away from Florence, we did not have to fight the traffic. We spent quite a few days exploring the wineries in the Chianti region. We explored Volterra, San Gmignano, and even Pisa. The house was well equipped with three bedrooms, two baths, a wonderful country kitchen, and a living room. I happily endorse Casa San Vito as a great property."

  • The Absolutely Perfect Tuscan Villa!!!

"We had 3 couples that wanted to enjoy the Tuscan experience...we found this villa by accident, but it turned out to be THE very best!! we each had our own King Size bedroom with ensuite, and a beautiful kitchen/dining area. The terrace and surrounding land was not only right out of a movie, but impeccably clean & groomed daily. Our hosts were the sweetest, kindest people - even though only Barbara spoke English...we wanted for nothing. the villa was fully equipped, beautifully decorated and provided us with everything we needed. The 2 small towns on either side had the best restaurants & shops - the local winery had a wonderful tour and the best wine & olive oil. The pool & gazebo were so tranquil & quiet - surrounded with olive trees and flowers - and very privately placed down the hill away from the house. A car with Sat/Nav is a must...though nothing is too far away, the roads are quite interesting to navigate! We loved everything about this villa - including the owner family. We could not have stayed anywhere better for any amount of money! A special thank you to Barbara & her parents - you made our Italian experience Eccellente!!! BRAVA!"
