"Pardon the rushed review. The listing description was accurate re: the location, layout, amenities. The property was clean and well-maintained. Diego provided excellent customer service. Definitely would recommend this property to friends and relatives."

  • Perfect place to stay and discover Tuscany

"We stayed at Villa Casanova with a group of 7 for two weeks. The accommodations are absolutely wonderful as was the owner. As mentioned in other reviews, we were warmly greeted by Annalisa and quickly shown the villa and all it’s amenities. The villa provided great private and common areas for our group. The villa is beautifully decorated and yet very comfortable. The kitchen was wonderful to cook in as well as enjoy an Italian cooking class from a local cook. The lower kitchen area has dishwasher and clothes washer. The garden with outdoor eating area was just perfect for dining alfresco as well as enjoying quiet mornings with the sounds of the valley along with coffee. The location of the villa is perfect for accessing day trips, vespa tours, vineyards and olive groves with multiple castles and beautiful churches all nearby. At the end of a full day, coming back to relax in the immaculately maintained pool and then retreat to your own private courtyard later meal was perfect for our group. Rufina provides wonderful little shops, for pastries, coffee, pizza and local breads, meats & cheeses. We also found a wonderful “windmill restaurant” in the neighboring town. We feel like we were able to experience the best of busy Italian city life along with the comforts and serenity of the foothills and countryside. Annalisa was helpful in recommending places for day road trips, local grocery stores, local Chianti producer & other vineyards, someone to do a cooking class with us as well as best ways to use the train system from the area to get to Florence and other places. She was quick to help with any needs or questions with the villa. Of our 3 week trip, this villa and area was a perfect way for us to experience Tuscany. We feel so fortunate finding Villa Casanova and getting to know Annalisa. We have no reservations in saying our time at the Villa Casanova was just what we hoped for! Thank you Annalisa, we are already planning to come back!"

  • Our absolute favorite HomeAway stay!

"We had a WONDERFUL stay in Stalletta... our favorite HA stay ever. The house is exactly as represented, and even has a small fireplace in the kitchen/sitting area. Catina is exceptional and provided perfect instructions and pictures to find her property on the mountainside and surrounded by fruit trees and olive trees. A small COOP grocery store is in nearby Molino del Piano and a bakery by the square. Note that stores close from 1pm to 5pm and open again until 7pm (except Wed.) Also find Guilia's Bar (coffee, beer, sandwiches) in town for 1.20 euro to enjoy an excellent macchiato, latte, cappuccino, etc. It is delightful to dine in your private garden but be sure to try Ristorante Artemide which is about a 10 min. drive up the road. The sign is obvious from the road so don't fear that you have missed it. Catina will make reservations for you because it is very popular. We had the wild boar stew, cabbage, apple, avocado salad and gnocchi with grape leaf and roquefort filling. But the meno changes frequently so hurry there. Lastly, be sure to take the train to Florence...very convenient and fast. Catina has an information notebook with all the information for shopping and sightseeing."

  • Wonderful!

"What an incredible stay! The property is gorgeous and secluded. And our hosts were amazing. They showed us around town, the train and suggested the most delicious local restaurant. Not only that, Josie provided wine, bread, tomatoes, cheese and other items in our fridge when we arrived. Sitting on the back deck, looking out over the fountain while snacking was such a treat. We loved it here and recommend it highly!!"
