  • well located in a neighborhood full of shops and friendly locals

"My husband and I walked into Casa Pera and immediately felt at home. We were met by the incredible Diletta who is the local manager for the apartment. After a thorough "de-briefing" we were quickly up to date on all the ins and outs. That, along with David's incredibly explicit 7 page instruction list, made us ready to be happy tenants. The kitchen is unbelievably efficient. Everything you'd want or need. A big 10 stars for properly sharpened knives. The bath rooms and showers are bright and efficient. Great showers!! Sadly we were there only a month and are missing it still now that we are home. It is an ancient building with an incredibly well maintained apartment. The 20 stairs ( 6- a landing, 6- a landing 6- a landing and 2 up into the apartment) make for very strong "quads" as the risers are of varying heights. Take advantage of them. We're very fit now. Read and re-read Davids list and call Diletta for any questions. It was a delightful experience."

  • Cozy little apartment

"I would recommend this lovely little apartment, well situated and well kitted out for our short stay. Massimo's communication is spot on."

  • Wonderful Polazzo in a special city's historical centre

"We spent ten day's at Nancy Lumb's beautiful apartment in the historic city of Lucca. Very spacious and updated. What really makes this place special is the location and the tip's provided by Nancy on having a great visit to the area and Lucca. Not once were we disappointed in her recommendations. Plenty of space in this place. This home will make you feel like you are really living in the city. Location is perfect to train and bus and you will not be disappointed in Lucca or this apartment."

  • It does not get much better than this....

"My wife and I spent 6 terrific nights in Lucca in this apartment. We loved the city, but the apartment, its location, the rooftop deck all came together to make the experience that much better. One should be aware that after an elevator ride, it requires climbing two flights of stairs to reach the apartment itself, but the climb is worth it. The space is much like a converted attic with a high ceiling with old exposed wood beams. There are windows on three sides which let in lots of light and when opened, a most refreshing breeze. The space is compact, but very livable although I would not think that it is that comfortable for more than two people. The rooftop deck is a most exceptional feature. I spent my mornings drinking my coffee watching the city below come to life. Your view is unobstructed to the Tuscan hills in the distance. On several days there were musicians playing in the square. The bed is comfortable and there is plenty of storage. The kitchen could use a few more amenities and the bathroom is a bit tight, although the shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water. If you can appreciate the fact that you are in an intelligently remodeled space at the top of a very old building in the most central location in town, all of the "deficiencies" I mention fade away. I could not recommend this place more and would love to return if the opportunity would present itself."
