  • A heavenly home away from home

"My husband and I have spent a month at Peralta every summer for 10 years, and we will be there again this year. We love its peaceful serenity. The path to Casa Nuova from the car park is a pleasure in itself. It's filled with birdsong and cicadas, and lined with sweet-smelling jasmine, fig trees, and bougainvillea. Casa Nuova, where we always stay, is ideal for us, with its large, wisteria-covered terrazza and its spectacular view of the valley below and, on clear days, the Mediterranean Sea. Peralta was once home to sculptor Fiore Hendriquez, and her sculptures keep the artistic spirit of the place alive. All of the stone houses at Peralta are comfortably furnished with rustic antiques and have private terraces and beautiful views of the valley. The hike up stone steps takes you to the swimming pool and an even more expansive view. Dinah Voisin, the owner, and Kate Simova, Peralta's manager, are a delight and extremely helpful and accommodating in making sure that your stay is everything you want it to be."

  • Great house, great owner

"The house is very nice and comfortable, only 25 minutes walk from the centre of Lucca. It is very well equipped with everything what you need for shorter or longer stays. 50 meters from the house there is a little shop with fresh bread, vegetables and pizza, something that makes your life easy. Francesco, the owner of the house, is always helpful and makes you feel very welcome! The place is recommended for people who prefer the city rather than countryside but only a short drive from the beautiful surroundings of Tuscany. Me, my wife and our 2 children had a very good time in this place."

  • Wonderful view in the heart of the city

"We stayed for a few days in Viareggio in April. The weather was good so we took long walks on the beach. In the evening we enjoyed the long promenade with numerous fashion shops (the prices are really cheap) and great Italian restaurants. Getting to Viareggio is very easy. We landed at the airport of Pisa and a direct bus we arrived in 20 minutes Viareggio (100 meters from the apartment !!)."

  • Unbelievable!

"This old farm house is the perfect place to stay. Its in perfect condition without having lost its style. Located in the middle of a nice forest of olives you will not be disturbed by traffic or neighbors. While swimming in the pool (in the olive forest, 80 m from the house) the only thing you see are the nice green mountains of the surrounding valley. Due to the location in the mountains its not too hot when you sit outside in the evening. And if you have kids they will love to swim in the pool and to explore the wild creeks in the surrounding. Nevertheless the place is just 20 min. from Lucca downtown and 40 min from Pisa and the sea. A 15 min. walk brings you to the village with little shop, restaurant, church and tourist information. The landlord will not disturb you but is immediately available in case of any problem. I can fully recommend to stay here and we are seriously considering to come back next summer."
