  • Magical

"We spent six weeks at Pomona. The welcome and hospitality we received from Inge, Monica and Enrico was wonderful. Pomona is beautiful, a working vineyard and olive grove very close to the charming town of Castellina. The apartment, Limonaia, is rustic and very dark, very good for hot weather, but a little gloomy if the weather is bad, but it has an open fire which we enjoyed. We loved our time at Pomona and plan to return next year! Thank you. If there are any suggestions it would improve things if the kitchen equipment was more modern. If you are looking for a modern, up to date apartment this is not for you but if it is an authentic, welcoming, rustic and utterly real place to rest and get to know this beautiful area then this is it. The pool is lovely and the views around the farm are stunning and the sunsets spectacular. We will see you next year."

  • Castellina in Chianti is spectacular

"Casa Campana is a quaint but large solid stone house in the country a few miles away from one of the best Tuscan villages you will find. Great pool, lovely outdoor eating areas, and quiet rural setting make this a relaxing destination, but also easy jumping off point for superb day trips. It was great that 3 of the bedrooms each had their own bathroom. Only one very minor problem was not finding enough good wine glasses in the kitchen for 6 people after coming home from long hard day of winery touring. Thanks for the great stay in Chianti."

  • Great home base in Chianti

"We spent a relaxing week in Casa Sant’Antonio in mid-June. The house was a perfect fit for our family of five adults, with spacious areas to be together. The property was well-maintained and clean, with an efficient, well-appointed kitchen. We chose to skip planned visits to a couple of hill towns in favor of enjoying the pool at the house. We spent most of our time on the veranda overlooking the beautiful Tuscan countryside, which was judged by all to be one of the highlights of our entire trip. Federico, the local property manager, met us on arrival. He was especially welcoming and helpful, checking on us throughout the week, making restaurant reservations for us, offering helpful advice for our trips within the Chianti region. Located near the hamlet of Fonterutoli, about an hour south of Florence and a half-hour from Siena, the house was a great home base for day trips throughout the Chianti region. We spent a lot of time in the nearby town of Castellina in Chianti, about 15 minutes north of the house, handy for groceries, restaurants or gelato. We were able to walk to a tour of the modern Mazzei winery based in Fonterutoli. We feel fortunate to have found and chosen this property for our time in Chianti."
