  • A green paradise!

"Spending one week in this amazing house with all my family, is something that I will remember for the rest of my life! The villa is stunning: all the rooms and the living areas are so comfortable and welcoming, the kitchen is fully equipped. My children were just excited and enjoyed the park around the house for the entire stay: we did it too, of course, eating and relaxing as we had planned to do! We will definitely suggest this peaceful island to all our friends."

  • Wonderful holidays

"In June / July 2016 we spend two wonderful and relaxing weeks at Casa La Quercia. We can highly recommend this house and we will definately be back. It features a beautiful garden and is situated between the olive trees of the family. You have a magnificent view of the surrounding forests and valleys from the house and the terrace. Approximately 50 m from the house is the big swimming pool which is available for the guests. He fits perfectly into the landscape. On arrival we were very warmly welcomed by the lovely owner of the property. She showed us around and was courteous contact for questions and gave us good advice during our stay. We enjoyed the beautiful nature and the wonderful silence. As the house is away from the big cities located near the small village of Strada, we had a wonderful night starry sky and hundreds of fireflies at the house. Also our dog enjoyed the holidays and felt comfortable."

  • Perfect place to press life's reset button!

"This was my second trip to this beautiful villa. The first time I visited, this little hamlet took my breath away with its charm, history and the stunning views and peacefulness. everywhere I looked I wanted to capture with a photo ..... until my phone was full! This last visit I stayed in the moment though (just a few photos!), it's not often you get the chance to just stop and appreciate everything. The villa - loved it, all mod cons, cozy lounge with open fire, very comfy sofas, stunning views, little kitchen but with everything you need, master bedroom has an amazing terrace with more beautiful views and lovely powerful shower in both bathrooms. Outside the villa has two areas where you can sit peacefully with a coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening - chianti obviously! The pool - I didn't use it this time as December is rather chilly, but it is a great size, easily big enough for a good swimming session if you feel so inclined, or to just take a quick dip to cool off when it's hot in the summer. The area - other than the amazing views from the villa, driving up to the hamlet you will see so many more beautiful sights - had to stop the car and take them in a few times! There are now some mapped walking routes starting at Montefienali and I think some of these are also for mountain bikes. I visited both Florence and Sienna whilst I was there as well as many other beautiful local places .... best restaurant I have to recommend - the Osteria del Castello at Castello di Brolio - wonderful tasting menu. I will look forward to returning here again sometime."
