  • Perfect place to press life's reset button!

"This was my second trip to this beautiful villa. The first time I visited, this little hamlet took my breath away with its charm, history and the stunning views and peacefulness. everywhere I looked I wanted to capture with a photo ..... until my phone was full! This last visit I stayed in the moment though (just a few photos!), it's not often you get the chance to just stop and appreciate everything. The villa - loved it, all mod cons, cozy lounge with open fire, very comfy sofas, stunning views, little kitchen but with everything you need, master bedroom has an amazing terrace with more beautiful views and lovely powerful shower in both bathrooms. Outside the villa has two areas where you can sit peacefully with a coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening - chianti obviously! The pool - I didn't use it this time as December is rather chilly, but it is a great size, easily big enough for a good swimming session if you feel so inclined, or to just take a quick dip to cool off when it's hot in the summer. The area - other than the amazing views from the villa, driving up to the hamlet you will see so many more beautiful sights - had to stop the car and take them in a few times! There are now some mapped walking routes starting at Montefienali and I think some of these are also for mountain bikes. I visited both Florence and Sienna whilst I was there as well as many other beautiful local places .... best restaurant I have to recommend - the Osteria del Castello at Castello di Brolio - wonderful tasting menu. I will look forward to returning here again sometime."

  • The place was as per on-line description

"Lucia was waiting for us as per time agreement, and did show us the location facilities. The Condo is well furnish and has a little patio area with à small BBQ. From the condo unit itself there is no view to the vineyard and olive trees. One must got to the main patio to observe the field. The pool was accessible and well maintain although it was on the cold side. The closes town Radda is 15 minutes away by car from the Condo. Be aware that WIFI did cost 20 euros per computer per week. Also be prepare to add visitor taxes 1.50 euro/day/person. As a whole we did enjoy the very clean and quiet place (Sept)."

  • 3 days for l'Eroica di Gaiole

"We spent 3 days in Podere Scopeto for l'Eroica di Gaiole (Vintage cycling race). The house is splendid and very confortable and clean. The house is set in a very quiet place with fantastic vues over the Toscana hills. The pool is stunning. There is a 10 minutes ride on a very rough path to reach the house. Impossible to ride it with a road bike, and be very careful with your car !"
