  • Amazing

"This property was beautiful. We bought groceries and made meals and the house has everything you need including a nespresso machine and Andreas provides a few pods to start you off. Andreas provides firewood for the fireplace which was so nice to have it going every night. The house is positioned on top of a mountain with beautiful views of the vinyards and olive orchards. In the morning and evening there are deer everywhere. We took mountain walks from the house to two different beautiful boutique vinyards our favorite was La Magia, where we did tastings with the owner. The house is about 7 kilometers from Montalcino so you will need a car if you stay here. Andreas provides you with a list of recommended vinyards to taste and restaurants for each of the surrounding towns including Sienna. His recommendations were perfect. We've been all over the world and stayed in some of the best places and this was one of our favorite trips."

  • Amazing stay in the middle of the wineyards!

"We love Italian wine and food, and the stay at La Fuga made us happy on all counts. Waking up in the middle of the wineyards was priceless. This is a working wineyard so you do hear the humming of tractors early in the morning, but it is part of the experience. The house is beautiful, didn't need AC despite outside temperature above 30C, and the terrace has amazing views. Many great meals took place there, we cooked beautiful food from the market in Montalcino, a city spared of the curse of mass tourism ( unlike San Giminano, more crowded than London's Oxford Street). Camigliano next door is a gem of a village, and we were lucky to be invited to a party there - people are friendly and the little Osteria has good food and a hearty welcome. We loved our stay, could not recommend more!"

  • A fabulous property in a stunning location.

"We spent two fabulous weeks in the VIlla and thoroughly enjoyed the stunning location, the impressive views and the fantastic pool. The pool was a perfect size for my 17, 12 & 10 year olds, myself and my wife to play "catch", to swim and to dive into and the depth was great (my 12 yr old was able to walk the full length). The sun loungers were comfy but the location, based on top of a hill within the Tuscan HIlls was so picture perfect, we must have taken one hundred pictures. The pool was also lit, so night time games were also enjoyed. Even tho the pool is right next to the house, the house also has a fantastic courtyard, which allowed us to also opt to sunbathe right next to the kitchen (cool drinks, ice cream and the odd beer),,! Wifi in the house was good (we are a mobile /social media hungry family), TV had a number of sports channels and the Playstation came in handy (especially to play DVD movies). The kitchen was very well equiped, the bedrooms were huge but for us, the table tennis table, the football table, swing ball, boxing bag and...the indoor Archery in the massive games room were brilliant...! We loved the peace, we loved the serenity and we found lots of countryside walks and nature around. The villa was perfect to visit Montalicino (15mins in the car) a beautiful town (with a great supermarket), but we also went to Siena (an hour) and indeed Florence (2hrs),a great base in Tuscany. Would I recommend renting this villa,,,only one answer,,,,,Yes..,!"

  • Absolutely amazing cottage with great views!

"This is the farm cottage of you dreams with an amazing view of the countryside! There is such warmth in this home with great decor. Lots of windows for those views. About 1-2K to Montalcino. Cecilia met us on th edge of the city to bring us to the home where she had spent her childhood - which has now been reintrovated into a beautiful farm cottage. Super kitchen - large baths - everything u need! We will be back!"
