  • Villa in Montalcino

"We had a wonderful 6 nights at the Villa in Montalcino. It was close to many of the wonderful sights of Tuscany. Wineries, restaurants, tourist attractions. The Villa made a great home base for exploring. We used the kitchen extensively for dinner and breakfasts. it was well equipped with cooking utensils. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The 3 couples all had their own large private bedroom and complete bathroom. allowing us some private times. the view was spectacular from the windows and patio. We enjoyed playing cards and drinking our wines on the patio. It would have been lovely to have enjoyed the pool but the weather was not quite warm enough in October. We all would welcome a stay at this villa again to explore more of Tuscany."

  • Amazing stay in the middle of the wineyards!

"We love Italian wine and food, and the stay at La Fuga made us happy on all counts. Waking up in the middle of the wineyards was priceless. This is a working wineyard so you do hear the humming of tractors early in the morning, but it is part of the experience. The house is beautiful, didn't need AC despite outside temperature above 30C, and the terrace has amazing views. Many great meals took place there, we cooked beautiful food from the market in Montalcino, a city spared of the curse of mass tourism ( unlike San Giminano, more crowded than London's Oxford Street). Camigliano next door is a gem of a village, and we were lucky to be invited to a party there - people are friendly and the little Osteria has good food and a hearty welcome. We loved our stay, could not recommend more!"

  • A fabulous property in a stunning location.

"We spent two fabulous weeks in the VIlla and thoroughly enjoyed the stunning location, the impressive views and the fantastic pool. The pool was a perfect size for my 17, 12 & 10 year olds, myself and my wife to play "catch", to swim and to dive into and the depth was great (my 12 yr old was able to walk the full length). The sun loungers were comfy but the location, based on top of a hill within the Tuscan HIlls was so picture perfect, we must have taken one hundred pictures. The pool was also lit, so night time games were also enjoyed. Even tho the pool is right next to the house, the house also has a fantastic courtyard, which allowed us to also opt to sunbathe right next to the kitchen (cool drinks, ice cream and the odd beer),,! Wifi in the house was good (we are a mobile /social media hungry family), TV had a number of sports channels and the Playstation came in handy (especially to play DVD movies). The kitchen was very well equiped, the bedrooms were huge but for us, the table tennis table, the football table, swing ball, boxing bag and...the indoor Archery in the massive games room were brilliant...! We loved the peace, we loved the serenity and we found lots of countryside walks and nature around. The villa was perfect to visit Montalicino (15mins in the car) a beautiful town (with a great supermarket), but we also went to Siena (an hour) and indeed Florence (2hrs),a great base in Tuscany. Would I recommend renting this villa,,,only one answer,,,,,Yes..,!"

  • We were immersed in the charm of Montalcino the moment we walked into this apartment.

"The apartment was absolutely wonderful. While it had the old world charm with its exposed beams in the ceiling it was very spacious and comfortable. The location within the city walls with private parking is a must for this city making access to the city and surrounding area so much easier. Lisa was so pleasant and helpful with directions, restaurant recommendations as well as private tour recommendations. We will not only recommend this property to others I am sure we will be back."
